My wife had just had surgery and she wanted to go home, I told her to drink a bunch of water so she could pee because I thought they were gonna make her do that before she could go home. The nurse heard me telling her that and she came in and said “we don’t make the girls do that” that’s when I asked “but the boys have to or can’t be discharged” I said “why is that”. Then she just rolled her eyes and walked away. I asked her again when she came back and she just ignored me and said she would get…

Thanks for the info. I’m dumb and couldn’t find any clear cut reason for it, still seems weird to me they would take the liability of discharging a female with the hope she doesn’t get retention. Weird world

I was trying, I’m just dumb and could t find a clear cut answer, seems weird they would take the liability of a female getting the retention if making them pee clears them 100%

You would think they would want them to pee too just from a Liability standpoint
/r/MensRights13/02/24 01:21 AM

But wouldn’t they want the females to pee as well to make sure there is no urinary retention? So weird it is “Required of one gender” and not required of the other to be discharged

I googled it but still confused why a hospital policy says all males are required to pee before discharging but females are free to go without. Just so damn weird

It was just so weird how she refused to give me any kind of answer. She just rolled her eyes and said “we don’t make the girls do that”
