The hormones play a huge role in the 16-20 years. An endocrinologist once told me they are the most mentally turbulent times of a young person's life and I believe it completely. I'm getting into my twenties now and the best advice I can offer is to be as mindful as possible. Recognize when the emotions are irrational and do your best to build healthy habits both mentally and physically. Other than that, live your life. It all settles down eventually.

Really interesting connections made here. The 'inner child' seems to be related to Jung's notion of the anima. Can anyone extrapolate a bit more on the relationship between the anima and one's frame as fundementally as possible?

Exactly. Spend time with him and build as strong of a relationship with him as you can. When he gets to the age where he starts to notice chicks, be the guy he goes to for girl advice. He's still quite young however. Don't be overbearing. TRP concepts will start to become helpful to him in his mid teens, so don't stress about it yet. Good on you for seeing how shit could play out though.

Completely agree with everything you've said. A lot of the stuff you've mentioned are the things a CBT therapist would suggest. Good on you for having worked them into your lifestyle.

Perfect approach. It's a great balance between comfort and maintaining a relaxed and non-overbearing frame.

This is fantastic advice, there needs to be much more like this. A couple of things I'd like to add: The feeling of love he mentioned is exciting but can lead you down the wrong path. It can begin to revert you back to blue pilled mindsets, and subsequently, more blue pilled behavior. This is from my own personal experience so he might be much more resilient to that sort of thing, who knows. Point is, remain aware of the proper behaviors and do your best not to slip away from them. In my opinion…

This is ridiculous. If youre afraid of fallout from engaging with this girl cuz she knows your family then don't bother. Go find another chick. While we're at it, you need a serious refresher (or introduction) to the RP mindset judging from your responses to the other comments.

Its near impossible to know the cause. Could be neurological, could be physiological, could be something completely different than low testosterone. My advice would be to talk to a doctor and see what they reccomend.

Completely agree with this philosophy. OP is way out of touch with reality and has developed some irrational MGTOW-esque blanket notion about women. How the flying fuck can he pretend to have any knowledge of LTR dynamics despite never actually having had one?

If you're seriously struggling to breathe, GO TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL. You mentioned siblings. It's likely they're experiencing similar things. Do not be afraid to go to the police/child services (if your siblings are minors). For now, find somewhere else to live and definitely reduce contact. Figure out what approach you feel is most appropriate. Many essential services are experiencing labor shortages so if you don't already have a way to make money, find a cashier job or fast food job or something along those lines to make enough to get an apartment. This is a solid answer. I would argue that oxytocin also plays an essential role in this. Both the dopamine rush and heightened oxytocin levels result in clouded judgment (ie. prevents you from abiding by TRP guidelines) and you see it manifest as neediness and beta behaviors. Although it sounds right, I didn't do the research and just pulled from what I know so take this with a grain of salt.

My selfishness is justified. I'm under no obligation to include everyone in my circle and I've decided I do not want him in it. I also have no obligation to mentor him. Believe me we all tried at the start of the year, it won't happen.

For one, its the bar so even if my friends and I went alone he would find us and fucking stick to us like glue. Plus any time we get set to go out, he's always lurking n the 'oh are you guys going out?' Is the first thing out of his mouth. The other boys are less cold and spill the plans. He invites himself. We are 2 years apart. Our friend groups are totally separate. Like I said, he invites himself and we cant tell him to fuck off without worrying he'll off himself.

Cognitive behavioral therapy. The usual type of therapy youd see on tv or in movies. You talk about your habits and mindsets and work through your problems logically with the therapy.

Your plan is sound, execute it and see what changes and what still needs improvement. On another note, your job is one of the hardest to do. Extremely stressful, extremely traumatic at times. You're on the frontlines of western society. You frequently see people going through the worst experiences of their lives and it takes a toll on everyone involved. You and your coworkers are under the same stress. Don't feel badly when someone acts in a socially uncalibrated manner. Laugh it off and move on…

Smoking affects your cardiovascular health. It may affect your endurance but it won't really stifle gains from consistent exercise. Consider switching to vaping if its nicotine you're after. Vaping produces negligible amounts of carcinogenic chemicals (from the combustion of organic compounds) in comparison to cigs. It is not healthy in and of itself but it is orders of magnitude healthier than cigs.

Take this situation back to first year microeconomics. What is the opportunity cost? - more work/responsibility - difficult/uncomfortable conversations? What is to be gained? - more money - more power Add whatever else you've got that fits into these and then compare. My only advice would be to not shy away from growth. Your boss got promoted, who's to say you won't be promoted out of the position as well. If the boss chose you as his successor, it seems like you've got friends in high places.

Didn't a study just come out about the same cognitive bias in an office setting when an attractive male vs an unattractive male hit on a female coworker? Definitely seems to me like its a two way street. I've felt the same bias.

Sounds like workplace banter to me, I wouldn't take it personally. Females tend to be uncalibrated when it comes to that stuff. Smile and laugh it off then forget about it. You're there for the paycheck, don't worry about the rest.

I like the simulation theory because there is no attempt at rationalization, it's just the way it is. You're oversimplifying a very complex question when it comes to the origins of the universe. I've got extensive background in the sciences so I'm definitely more biased towards an atheistic mindset but here's my best attempt at a rationalization of my thoughts: With the scientific revolution, we began to figure out what's going on in space. Fast forward to today; we have an approximate age of the universe as well as the scale on which it exists, plus a good grasp of the anomalies we can observe …

I agree to some extent. However I could never believe in a god. Obviously since you're in the trp community you dont advocate for the hardcore Christian ways but you're absolutely correct in advocating for Christian morality. It's one of the things I found from being raised in a Christian household and school that I could benefit from.

The breakup was 4 months ago, how could it possibly have not been clear that things were over? Unless I've missed some context here, you're making a lot of assumptions. To me this seems like the ex pulled an AWALT move after realizing our guy can do better. Definitely lift tho

I'm fairly sure Jordan Peterson has spoken in his lectures about something similar. Psychopaths must live a nomadic social lifestyle, otherwise they ultimately get ostracised from any social circle in due to the way they treat people. As you've said yourself, you tend to treat women like dogshit. Imo, not a good strategy for the long term but its probably extremely powerful in AMOG situations and the like.

CBT therapist. She will not schedule the appointment herself. Find one you think will suit the situation best, book it, and drive her to the appointment. Masterfully played for a beginner. Shes sold, it's your call what happens next. Keep in mind this won't be the last successful play you'll make. Don't get too wrapped up with this girl unless that's your goal (LTRs are fun). Maintain a level mindset through the peaks and valleys of social life. Go have a good time and get home safe.

This post is great for highlighting the underlying consensus the rp community has arrived at; operating under an implicit (inexperienced) or explicit ("I'll just be super duper nice and maybe I'll get laid one day) bp mentality is not a successful approach to relationships and life. That being said however, there is a time and a place for bp behaviour. As many in this community have stated, operating under an 80/20 rp vs bp ratio (mostly in LTRs) is necessary for maintaining a cooperative relati…
