Also sex toy use. A woman with a collection of sex toys is seen as empowered. A man with a collection is seen very differently.

You’re allowed to say illegal, sex work, prostitute, masturbate. Why are you obfuscating these words?

Are you certain of that? Why the hell would you choose that?

Nothing wrong with being authentic, which is what I think that advice is getting at.

What nonsense - shit happens but none of the things you mention is to “depopulate” the planet. They’re not very successful are they? What a strange simplistic and paranoid view of the world you have.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/23 08:02 PM

Why? The data is clear that COVID increases risk of myocarditis, this isn’t a controversial claim.

Imagine being free of needing external validation and instead validated yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 11:00 AM
1

What would be the ultimate validation? I’m curious because part of my inner journey is becoming aware of unconscious need for validation and uprooting it. My life has only got better when I act from other motivations apart from seeking validation. It’s incredibly liberating.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 10:59 AM

Self-awareness is key otherwise most people just end up acting out their unexamined attachment wounds from early childhood in their adult relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 10:56 AM
3

Oh sure, a partner meets needs for closeness and connection and intimacy that friends can’t. At some point I will resume dating again for that reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 07:13 PM
2

For me it was a question of time. Spending quality time with a partner necessarily took away time that I now spend with different friends. I’m not saying I will choose to remain single for ever, I was more just pointing out that it’s a fallacy to assume that singleness = loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 07:11 PM
16

Friends do exist. As someone who’s recently single, I find myself way more in touch with a broader social circle than when I was in a relationship and I also engage in more diverse range of activities than when I was in a relationship. It’s not safe to assume that being single = lonely and that the only antidote is to couple up.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 10:55 AM

You can also control whether you are working on said insecurities as well. If you are aware of your issues as they arise in a relationship but have the curiosity and willingness to work on them, and not just expect your partner to be always present to you venting or emoting, then I think that can go a long way to actually increasing intimacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 10:05 PM
4

Yes, ultimately an LTR needs authenticity from both parties to be successful. Otherwise your intimacy is a house of cards. Being authentic necessarily implies being vulnerable. I think an important point here is that you aren't taking your insecurities out on the other person, or dumping on them, or acting without awareness of your issues. It's a very different proposition when you have awareness of your issues, can talk about them in a calm, curious way and are actively working on them as oppos…

Sure, but for all the noise about it female friendly, the whole "women initiate the chat" thing isn't really that revolutionary from a practical sense.

I've often thought that TRP is almost exclusively aimed at women with an anxious preoccupied attachment style. Selectively withdrawing attention can be provocative to people with that attachment history.

Here’s a comment I posted on another thread about going my own way as a 53yo: Life at 53 for me is awesome - I have two wonderful teenage sons that spend half their time at my place, I work, I surf, I workout and am in a men’s group. 53yo and have plenty of single friends, both male and female. It’s simply not a problem. You can still go your own way and enjoy intimacy with women too - nothing says you have to be single.

Exactly, it’s a total troll. The overlap with /r/gendercritical proves this point. That sub isn’t exactly full of women wanting to be treated as “queens” by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/19 09:09 PM
7

I think you've nailed it. It's just all too perfect, especially when you consider the overlap with /r/gendercritical who, on the whole, aren't exactly the type of women looking for a man to treat them like a "queen". The whole thing feels like a stunt.

Where do you meet these women? I'm 52 and recently single again after just dumping a 45yo who was pushing for me to commit. I'm enjoying just being free and focussing on myself again right now, but really, women in their 40's don't do it for me. But I'm a bit clueless on how and where to meet younger women.

As the father of 11yo and 13yo boys, my attention and mentoring role is way more important right now than maternal love. Likewise, me creating time and space in my busy life to take (and teach) them surfing, fishing, camping, to coach their soccer teams, to go to their games, is a huge influence on them that goes beyond just being a distant role model.

My grip on reality is fine. I'm 48 and not perfect, not even "near-perfect" and have enjoyed plenty of loving relationships with women in my lifetime. Read BenGunnSilver's other comments around the place. Dude gets off on playing the victim. I stand by my original assertion that he needs to get out more. You need to understand female sexuality and what opens your particular partner up, that's the masculine imperative in satisfying sexual encounters. And if that doesn't work, find a new partner. Enthusiastic women aren't very rare.

At the end of the day it has everything to do with Condé Nast — it's their website and the CEO and admins serve to maximise profits for the owners. How hard is that to understand? Condé Nast owe you nothing. You're on a corporate-owned website.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/15 01:32 AM

Neither you nor me have any idea on how many imgur employees said anything about harassment. But at the end of the day, that's a commercial decision of Condé Nast to weight up and make the call on.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/15 01:10 AM
3

True and this is why the other 'offensive' subs are still up and running — they keep to themselves. If all 'offensive' subs had been removed in one fell swoop then yes, you could argue this was part of some SJW cleanup of reddit. But really it seems the harassment of imgur staff was the main catalyst here.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/15 09:46 PM

Exactly, at the end of the day we are playing in Condé Nast's playground here. Their community, their rules. Like it or not, that's the reality of the situation.

There's a gulf a mile wide between Deida and trp. The average Trp'er represents 'first stage masculinity' in Deida's vernacular. Then so-called beta males represent 'second stage masculinity'. You'd be hard pressed to find anything in the trp sub that resembles Deida's third-stage masculinity when it comes to relating to females.

I think because any blanket prohibition on fapping is an example of black and white thinking - it doesn't allow for the fact that there is a whole spectrum of possibility of self-pleasuring. What do you mean? Prostitution is legal in many parts of the world.

As soon as that happens, expect to see calls for "reform".

Thank you for this - the whole 'alpha/beta' division is so misused it's not funny.

I suppose the risk us doing what I did for years with a woman - thinking that if only I did something different she would open up to me. Then I realized it shouldn't be that hard and it was more her than me.

Accept the fact that this is her personality and you won't necessarily be able to. Even if you did, she will revert back to this way of operating. There are plenty of women who are more open by their nature.

No, because she's going to leave you because you lack 'passion'. Oh, but I love him! I'm just not 'in love' with him...

It's an interesting question and reminds me of one I posed here on reddit under a now deleted account - that there is no gender equivalent for females of the phrase "to man up". Somehow it's only men who bear a cultural expectation to take responsibility, be strong and own the consequences of their actions.

Try this on for size - let's say I go on a date with a woman. If I had the slightest inkling that she was taping our conversation and her friend was listening in on it, that would be the end of it right there and then. That she felt that insecure with herself that she needed a friend to coach her through our date AND that she was violating my privacy to that extent just screams red flag. What a loser.

He's getting flack because it's grossly unethical to record someone without their knowledge.

I should add that I don't think I'd want to fuck anyone who was secretly broadcasting my conversation to a hidden third party. Time to rethink your whole approach.

A friend listens in on your dates? Something's not quite right here.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
