I’m explaining the logic behind it, not whether it’s justified or not

I’m sure that’s the case for some things, but activities like clubbing are associated with hook ups and therefore people (both male and female) don’t want their partner to be there.

So what’s the issue? There’s no disagreement. It’s not the other commenters fault that you interpreted “men should be more ok with expressing what they feel” to “men should start crying at a scraped knee and other such inconveniences.”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 09:49 PM

Yeah CRT was the fad talking point for Republicans since a few years ago. Guess that’s what happens when they don’t have any real appeal besides culture wars. Not everything is a grand government conspiracy. You’re like those communists who think everything bad about the USSR, China, etc. is Nazi and CIA propaganda. Show me actual proof, not just Jordan Peterson talking points. Also, some of this doesn’t even make sense. The US government is the leader of anti-leftism. Countless socialist moveme…

I don’t think anyone is arguing that men should be breaking down crying at every inconvenience and just not handling the response to emotions well in general. If my gf started crying every time she experienced minor problems I’d get annoyed at her too. You’re arguing with a straw man.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 08:43 PM

This is some tinfoil hat shit lmao. Who designed this grand conspiracy and when? Also clearly the state has failed at their mission, since people have gotten more and more disillusioned with the US government since post- Cold War high.

The problem isn’t stating that men and women are different, the problem is HOW they are different. For example, stating that men are slightly better at tasks related to spatial awareness while women are slightly better at verbal tasks and reading is not a controversial statement. Taking that and saying something like “see this is why you can’t ever trust female pilots”, on the other hand, is misogyny.

That’s not true at all. The fattest states and demographics in first world countries also tend to be among the poorest. We’re not in the feudal age anymore where peasants eat gruel and vegetables and the nobility are the only people who can stuff their face with calorie-dense meals. Eating healthy is what takes more time and money.

I’m assuming you’re talking about my first point. It depends on what the context is. Am I sitting around doing nothing while she does most of the work, like in the story? Is there some severe issues going on that would prevent her from exercising and eating healthy? Then no, I can’t just say “just lose weight lol.” Otherwise, I think it’s alright to try getting your partner to get healthy, but you should be more patient with a spouse than some random girl you met for a first date. Also, I’m refe…

I’m assuming you’re talking about my first point. It depends on what the context is. Am I sitting around doing nothing while she does most of the work, like in the story? Then no, I can’t just say “just lose weight lol.” Is she genuinely just a lazy person who can’t be bothered to eat healthy and exercise despite having the opportunity? Then yeah, I would try to get her to become healthier. Also, I’m referring more to moderate but significant weight gain like the kind that happens after pregnanc…

I mean, there’s a difference in choosing who you’re dating and what happens when you’re already in a marriage. Like yeah I probably wouldn’t date a girl whose obese, but if my wife were to gain weight after pregnancy I wouldn’t go up to her and say “you’re a fat slob and I’m leaving you.” Also in the story she’s working and doing most of the chores and childcare. I’d be pissed off too if while I worked 60 hour weeks, my wife sat around doing nothing and complained that I don’t look like Cbum.

Firstly, if she agreed to go out with him, using the redpill logic he’s already an attractive enough man. Second no, that’s completely wrong. Trauma dumping on date 1 is almost always a complete turn off. It’s essentially going “I have this problem, now do something about it.” Unless you’re like the top .00001% of attractiveness, barely any women are going to like that. Third, it’s not women’s fault that some men aren’t actually listening to what feminists are saying and don’t understand social …

It’s bc many immature people and red/blackpillers spend so much time in their social media echo chambers that when they see a contradiction or mildly nuanced situation in real life, they don’t know how to act. Social media has really devastated people’s social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:52 AM

A lot of people don’t understand nuance in social interactions. For example, I saw a video where a woman was telling a story about how her date started trauma dumping out of nowhere and made the date really awkward. The comments were a bunch of guys going “oh but I thought women wanted men to be more open about their feelings?” Like, there’s a difference between being open to therapy vs trauma dumping on date 1 with a woman you barely know. This is a symptom of worsening social skills from scrol…

Ok, but my broader point is that trp content isn’t matching up with real world data. Unless there’s a perfect 10:11 ratio on TRP videos, I will still be right regardless of men or women having a slight edge. Sure. That doesn’t change the fact that at this point in time the dating scene is almost equally bad for both genders, yet trp shit will only say that one side is getting screwed over. Your “substantive point” was that OP was wrong about redpillers exaggerating reality. I have clearly respon…

No, I wasn’t wrong. I demonstrated that the gender war content that you’re watching isn’t aligned with real data bc if it were you’d see a 10:11 ratio of men vs women cheating. The fact that there’s a 1% difference is incredibly unimportant to my overall point. You stated that the rate of men cheating hasn’t grown. This is a meaningless objection to me because even if a problem hasn’t grown in magnitude it still exists. The only thing you proved is that women have caught up in the being shitty O…

The difference in infidelity between genders in that demographic is 1% (11% for women, 10% for men). A slight edge for women, but almost the same. So most men don’t cheat AND most women don’t cheat, but for both genders the amount that do should come down. And yet, I haven’t seen 1 street interview where a man admits to cheating. So much for lining up to the data. Once again, I have not once denied that modern dating could have gotten worse, or that women have started cheating more than before. …

There is a 1% difference even in the age range that you specified (11 vs 10 percent). So, the rates of infidelity between genders are around even as young people, and then diverge as older adults. And the peak of infidelity for both genders was in the Cold War decades, not today. Finally, young people have the lowest rates of infidelity. Your double standard is pretty funny. “Almost as if most men don’t cheat” well women cheating clearly isn’t that much of a bigger issue atm, yet you’ll only see…

Alright just looked at the data real quick, and would you look at that, men cheat more often than women! And yet I’ve never seen a street interview highlighting a cheating man. Almost as if it wouldn’t get a rise out of their primary audience and the algorithm is feeding me a specific section of content creators. So are you willing to admit, then, that social media overstates issues, even if there is somewhat of a correlation?

There may be a correlation, but these interviews massively overstate the problem. It’s objectively true that content creators benefit from putting more inflammatory messages and that social media algorithms are a positive feedback loop, so shitty women on street interviews is what you will be more likely to see when scrolling. For example, if I was on Twitter, I’d observe that political discourse was full of Marxists and straight up Nazis and Klansmen. Now, has political ideology drifted further…

And OP never denied that these women exist, and was never debating whether dating has gotten harder or not. The point is that street interviewers ONLY show you the worst of the lot, because being inflammatory gets more clicks. Think about it, if you were looking for views, would you post the woman who’s giving you a completely outrageous answer or the woman who said something boring and inoffensive?

I don’t think anyone disagrees that physical attractiveness matters. IMO (talking about relationships, not hook ups here) being sufficiently physically attractive gets you in the door and everything else keeps you there. When I was unable to get a relationship there were women who were physically attracted to me, but I wasn’t a very good talker so dates usually went poorly. Also, maybe some people just have the mental image of the other person as “just a friend” and don’t really want to change i…
