How can you be insured against defamation and then have the policy denied when you "willfully" defame someone? It's not possible to accidentally defame someone, that's the definition of defamation: willfully trying to ruin someone's reputation.

You're being pedantic. If he is found innocent in court, then for all intents and purposes he is innocent. You can't say "he was found innocent in court, but that doesn't mean he didn't do it." Yes. Yes it does. That's exactly what it means. You may not like the verdict, but that's how rule of law works.

I posted the other day that those accused of something should not be referred to as if they have been convicted. The thread was about Roy Moore. I was trying to say that they should be referred to as "alleged" or "accused" because otherwise the accused has little chancece of a fair trial, and that one is innocent until proven guilty in America.
