Focus on career, friends, family, and aging parent. Why do a relationship with America’s horrible cheating, domestic violence, and divorce rates? That’s even assuming you can find anyone on these shitty apps
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/24 09:55 PM

Lot of women date older so it skews the statistic. That’s the only possible explanation there are far more single men than women in their 20’s. And it’s a graph chart for who reaches out to who. There’s a fairly noticeable subset of guys that reach out to multiple women constantly. So because of that women get multiple people trying to reach out to one girl. Most women are inundated with guys reaching out. I’ve been shown my friends’ social media before and it can be a constant influx of guys tr…

Yeah I don’t like hypersexual behavior, very common for something underneath causing it that has not been dealt with in a healthy way. And thus a relationship would be unhealthy for everyone.

And yet average life fatalities from auto incidents are 1% vs 40% of first marriages ending with divorce. Very clear even with taking steps to not marry a dirtbag there’s a very high chance it won’t work.

https://ricelawmd.com/what-are-the-chances-of-dying-in-a-car-crash/ Considering I don’t drive drunk, I wear a seatbelt, I’m not under 23, etc. I’m likely to be okay. Additionally, it’d be impossible to avoid driving unless I move to NYC. 40% divorce rate, 13% of wives cheating on husbands, 1/7 guys being abused, etc. adds up a lot more to something completely optional. I’m not going to put up with a high chance of divorce or abuse. And I don’t just assume everyone it happens to was an idiot who …

But nobody is a statistic. IF you don't have the preconditions, you are likely not affected. I am 100% sure i will never be a victim of domestic abuse. Because i am not a victim from childhood and i don't pick women who are abusers, i am not drawn to them. I don't care if a marriage ends in divorce. That is better than sticking to a relationship that has turned bad. Other than that, you can be in a committed life long relationship without marrying, if that is the contract you don't want to see b…

I definitely want to be single. 40% of first marriages end in divorce. 1/7 guys is victim of domestic violence. The numbers are even worse for women. So I see zero reason to go for a relationship if it’s more likely it’ll turn out to be a pile of garbage. Even if I wanted to it’d have to be a friend or a friend of a friend because I’m not trusting randoms off dating apps

There is a active push to limit the scope of socially acceptable venues to approach a woman Well yeah chicks don’t like it if their workout is constantly interrupted by dudes hitting on them. Or worrying that a dude approaching them at a shitty BP station is going to spit zero game. Whenever a woman says the acceptable way to approach and meet women is to join clubs or hobby groups I will remind them how that worked out for gym clubs. Gym clubs were once seen exactly like that, a social space fo…

Finances are the biggest cause of divorce. If your SO won’t work, spends way too much, runs up debt for the both of you it’s an issue. Successful careers generally weed out a lot of people who just want someone to take care of everything for them.

No incredibly expensive day care or paying for housing that can suit a family. Don’t have to feed, clothe, pay medical expenses, transport, etc any kids. Don’t have to worry about a nasty divorce, cheating, domestic abuse, etc. 40% of first marriages end in divorce. 1/7 men victim of domestic abuse. That’s a lot of nasty to avoid.

30+ year old for sure. Why date a 21 year old who doesn’t know what their career will look like in 3 years or if they’ll change up completely.

Anything on this list: https://www.thehotline.org/identify-abuse/domestic-abuse-warning-signs/ I’d also say check with their friends and make sure dude is actually okay. Lot of people front and then you only find out 3 months later they’re cheaters, manipulative, life going nowhere, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 10:57 PM

I think this is obvious. Tate, Fresh and Fit, etc are trash and don’t bring anything useful to dudes that isn’t already said by people that don’t encourage cheating on your girl. Go to the gym, work hard, be successful. There you go now you know the positive stuff they say. Why sit around for the weird shit?

I agree. In 95% of cases you know how your girlfriend dresses before you’re together with them. If all the sudden they’re dressing way more provocatively it’s clear they’re trying to pull a bunch of attention to themselves. If they already dress like that then you should already be aware

Yeah women rarely approach men. Guys tend to approach much more often and in many cases chicks are overloaded with people constantly asking them out or flirting. And in general social structure leads to women not approaching. And when they do a lot of guys are gonna assume it’s an MLM or prank.

You might want to, most domestic abusers have some history of trauma. And if it’s not handled appropriately it’s commonplace for controlling, abusive behavior to keep spiraling. I’ve seen it happen with a former roomie and their abusive gf. Gf did nothing to deal with her own issues and instead took them out on roomie with pretty abusive behavior

Yeah there’s a lot of care for poor people but you can tell by this thread people aren’t very realistic about poverty. And in some cases are outright hateful towards the poor. By this logic many inner cities should essentially no dating going on.

Or one person doesn’t answer texts, calls, anything and constantly cheats on the SO. I don’t know how that wouldn’t be considered bad at a relationship unless cheating and not trying to communicate are somehow acceptable

Of course there is, if someone never responds to messages, constantly talks to their ex, cheats, etc they’re not good in a relationship

The problem is that ends after getting the girl interested. PUA only get your foot in the door with strangers. Most flow charts for PUA aren’t designed to help with longer relationships. OP sees this as problematic because the girl is getting with a guy that’s front loaded communication ability. After date 3 guy needs a lot of help to actually engage in a relationship. Is it? In my opinion not particularly as long as mr pickup artist and chick understand it’s not viable long term. It is though i…

100% online dating is useless. Date friends or friends of friends. They can actually be vouched for

I’m more interested in the below patterns whether it’s friends or relationships: Does the person have a track record as an adult of being irresponsible, cheating, controlling, abusive, etc? If yes I don’t want that around as a friend or SO. If they’ve gone through a lot of trauma has it been dealt with appropriately? A lot of domestic abuse is carried out by people who have been severely abused, exposed to child abuse/sexual abuse, etc. but have not been able to cope with it. And in general adve…

Notoriously difficult to prosecute and a lot of times it’s covered up. Hence Catholic Church has constant child sex abuse problems because it keeps getting covered up. Out of all my female friends many have varying ranges of sexual assault or experiences with rape. I had one whose mom blame her for wearing crop tops.

Sounds like you’re the exception if you have fun with literally anyone on a date. Most people have had a few where it’s just awkward and not fun whether that’s no shared interests, personalities don’t mix, etc. Which is surprising considering how you think people disagreeing with you is “outrage” and you’re whining that everyone just gets it wrong.

If I’m on a date and the person is uninteresting or not compatible it won’t be fun. Breaking ice won’t happen if you don’t click with the other person. How are you compatible if you don’t like being around the other person?

Why date someone if it’s not fun to be around them? If you’re already exhausted on a few dates it’d be a nightmare to be married

I’m a guy. For point two: If I try one time to ask if someone wants to schedule a date and get curved/nothing in response it might just be they’re busy. Can’t always be sure so just end conversation asking if they’d like to schedule something. Second attempt and either no response or another curve I just end the conversation with invitation for them to suggest/schedule something. If a week or so goes by and no follow up from them that’s usually the clear indicator they’re not interested. I don’t…

Yeah I’m a bit confused on that part. Mentioning low emotional intelligence and having to teach them how to discuss issues? But then not wanting to play “therapist”? I’m not surprised guys are insecure about opening up.
