Ha. I said Flacco because of OP’s username.

Poor OP is losing his mind and here we are cracking wise in his comments. He’ll get to our level one day.

If Joe Flacco can come back so can you. Exercise, eat well, dress better, be positive and work on confidence. Don’t be in a rush. Living alone has its perks by the way.

Oh and mine played little symbolic songs over and over in my presence just to be hurtful. Some people are just not nice.

And you need to get out. I did and life’s not bad on the other side. She’ll be miserable forever.

Sharing your personal life with a coworker to the extent of a coworker getting a cake like that speaks volumes. Live your best life and feel good you are gone.

Mine altered a space without even asking knowing we were headed towards splitsvile and said it’s her house. Just vindictive stuff. It’s good you documented everything. Be careful.

One upping or what you described seems to be a thing for them. Maybe ask on r/narcissisticabuse to get more opinions.

Mine came in and surveiled my place, then questioned me about stuff. I was trying to be civil at the time and didn’t say none of your gd business anymore.

It won’t pay off for them.

You now have three kids in your life. Sorry man. My ex is hostile and vindictive as well. Whatever. They will always be miserable. We won’t. The kid entanglement sucks but maybe the bad behavior will get you full custody or make her straighten up from the possibility one day. Take the high road and choose happiness for yourself.

Mine threatened same. It’s comical and traumatic at the same time.

Oh yes. Typical. We are the Great Satan. It’s comical. No accountability whatsoever and we are serial killers.

Try to keep busy. Exercise. Cook. Read. Don’t be a hermit. Make plans to do things (hanging with friends, a concert) so you have things to look forward to. Appreciate the silence and independence. If all else fails, get a pet.

Thanks for the response. I can certainly empathize.

Just curious… does that mean you won’t see anyone again or just no marriage/cohabitation? Also do the consequences mean financial and mental stress? I’m out of a long term marriage. I won’t get married again but don’t think I can rule women out ever.

Grieve then realize this is an incredible opportunity to rebuild. Your life sucks now but you’ll pull it together over time. You’ll get a job, get your shit together, and the kids will see this and be back in your life. Don’t know why, probably your writing, but I know this will happen for you.

BTW it probably is overused but I bet your mind will be blown if you visit the sub and see how many people share the same sad story. Helps you heal. Best wishes.

This is what I saw in your post: putting on for others stonewalling you beat you down into submission It sounds emotionally abusive. Other traits I experienced include excessive belief in self/grandiosity, me always being wrong, no accountability, no apologies, projection of their negative traits on you, fact twisting, and gaslighting. There’s more. No idea it applies to you. After being a boiled frog for decades the subreddit helped me see what I experienced and how to cut the tie.

Well my guy, you are pretty funny. Parlay that with some confidence and a positive attitude and you’ll be just fine. Don’t be timid.

It’s a grind with lots of ups and downs, but you have to power through. Is there anybody that can help you out a little bit? It’s a life you’re not used to, but think about all the single moms that have had to work multiple jobs and raise kids. they certainly sacrificed and it sounds like you’re in that position now. Just be the best you can for your kids. Things will get better with time and as the kids get a little bit older and independent. Try to find some help if you can.

Sorry but yeah, that’s adultery in my country. Let’s say this happened after divorce… unless things were absolutely terrible I doubt it’s unusual to have some guilt doing that right out of the gate. My advice is hold off until after you are divorced then make your choices. It’s not cheating but there still may be odd feelings. You human.

Mine come out of their rooms and actually hang out now. Never thought I’d see the day. LOL.

Newly divorced with kids. Reading advice from our friends on Reddit definitely helped me. You don’t need to start over, consider it living differently. Standards are… exercise, get sleep, eat right, don’t be a hermit. Learn to talk to people if that’s not your skill. And if you’re good with it, dress better. Confidence is king. I know a lot of guys who improved themselves and/or had some good experiences. Most wound with partners or gf’s later. I’ve already made good and bad decisions. I’m anxio…

Is it bad I enjoyed your story?! Post divorce is weird. Every day I’m happy is a W, and I’m pretty darn happy. I know my former paramour never will be.

If you think there is hope, maybe try therapy/counseling to reignite the flame and communicate better. If not, go live your best life rather than being a passenger on somebody else’s.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
