February 24 - Weekly Improvement & Progress ThreadYour weight will vary +/- 5 lbs throughout the day depending on the food you've eat, sodium intake, water intake, etc. The best way to weight yourself is in the morning with minimal clothing, naked is even better, on the same scale. Track change over weeks not over hours or daily. Don't compare your weight in one scale to your weight in another scale. | /r/TheRedPill | 25/02/17 08:39 AM

Fitness Myth: More time in the gym = More Results. You have the reading skills of a grade schooler or are just picking bits and pieces of my text to fit yours. Also you're an idiot if you think your fast twitch muscles aren't engaged. Once slow twitch muscles fatigue (which is pretty fast with 10 sets of 10reps at 50%) fast twitch are activated. Get over your need to always be right and try it just one time; get on the bench (or squats if you like) and do 10 sets of 10 reps at 60% of your 1rm with 90 second rests between sets. Do it and let me k… | /r/TheRedPill | 25/02/17 08:30 AM
Fitness Myth: More time in the gym = More Results.i routinely do 25-30 sets of the same body part, not the same workout. You are right that high rep doesn't give you strength, but you are wrong that low rep high weight will give you size. I know its counterintuitive but it is what it is. Power lifters do heavy weight low rep, bodybuilders do low weight high reps. By light i mean work in your 50-70% 1rm not 20-30 like you're probably thinking. | /r/TheRedPill | 24/02/17 09:47 AM
Fitness Myth: More time in the gym = More Results.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_hypertrophy#Strength_training You can also go to a gym and just look at the powerlifters and their routines and compare to bodybuilders which do light on the weight and lots of reps. I encourage you to give that GVT a try for a couple workouts; youll see its no cardio bs if you do it right. 10 sets of 10 reps of 165-175lbs bench are brutal for me and the pump is incredible (for reference my 1rm is 290lbs). | /r/TheRedPill | 24/02/17 09:39 AM
Fitness Myth: More time in the gym = More Results. Not necessarily right.. You want to avoid overtraining, but the more volume the better for aesthetics (high rep, high sets, low weight). A good routine for this is GVT or anything high volume low weight. If your goal is strength (low rep, low sets, heavy weight) then yes, anything after 45 mins you're pretty much just fucking around. If you're looking to add mass you'll need to hypertrophy that body part which means more than 17 sets most of the time. Sleep and eat enough carbs to maintain volum… | /r/TheRedPill | 23/02/17 09:07 AM
