Do not settle for simply writing it out. Make sure it is notarized by a neutral notary. As you will not be able to get in front of one before Monday, it buys time. This will add a witness to the contract if you decide to move forward, buy you time to get ahead of this at work, buy you time to get into a lawyers office for a consult, or any combination of these.

or leaving a job can be stressful If stress gets to you, I wouldn't think you would be happy starting a business. The first couple to five years can be nothing but stress. Putting out a shingle isn't the alternative to being tired of what you do. A new job is. Starting a business is going to be a very large commitment of time and resources. If you have a plan that's been gnawing at you to try that's one thing, just looking for something different, I'd advise against it.

Violence isn't condoned towards anyone. It is recognized as a necessity at times and during those times, it is considered justified. I'm equally happy to live under a system that values fair trials, due process and an understanding of the realities of the world.

Everyone knows when to stop. Again, in the middle of a real life fight, this is not as clear as on CoD. There are plenty of regular guys in jail for killing someone in a barfight with just a couple punches. Violence is allowed not only in the immediate defence of self and others, but also as necessary to secure the scene and restrain the assailant. You can call it murder all you like. It was not. In the rule of law, we ascribe our definitions to the law, not the opinion of foreign internet troll…

But I think he could have done way better if he didn't turn himself into a killer in the process of defending his child. Here it is again. The father did nothing but protect his child, he did not turn himself into anything. He did only what was required of him as a father. The rapist made all of the decisions in this scenario, as such, the rapist carries all of the blame and apparently, the consequences.

That puny list doesn't even begin to cover it all. Supplied the troops to end WWI, invented blood plasma, supersonic flight, hell, flight altogether, electricity, mass production, space exploration, nuclear energy,. All while providing for the defense of the world's oceans and many countries, while they spend the savings on social programs. My list falls way short as well.

It's interesting that you think the invasion of Britain would be a major invasion. Funny, I was thinking the same thing. There's not enough space in England for the "tactical withdrawl" the Brits would have needed.

I had a problem with the advocacy of murder. Ah, here's the problem. The father did not murder the rapist. Murder is a legal definition to describe circumstances involved with taking a human life. The father did kill the rapist, but it's not murder. The rapist would have lived a long life had he not raped someone in the vicentity of the father. The father merely reacted to the abhorable behavior of the rapist. Because of this, the father is blameless. BTW, you act as if the father could clearly …

I agree with you. While he was sexually assaulted, acting like women will not get men the level playing field we are looking for. We need to find the remedy that keeps our masculinity intact. (I have no idea what that is, I'm pretty sure that sniveling to some female rape victim is not it though. At least he now knows what he means to her.) At first I laugh at filing a police/campus report, on second thought, this is probably the best route. He'll get abused by everyone over that but it will cov…

Do the first couple of events at someplace the women would not be interested in, word will spread. My wife guilted my friend into inviting her to our guys night years ago. Soooooo, our outing was to a cigar bar we frequented for scotch and stogies. My wife is allergic to smoke, I got to hand it to her for hanging in that night, but she never asked again.

I was just having this discussion with a friend of mine. There are always unintended consequences with sweeping legislation (sorry, decrees), this one no different.

So, on a light, but somewhat unrelated note.... My wife came along two days ago complaining that the Sex Pistols credit card was only available in the UK . Then I read this article, I've been howling ever sense. Their characterization is so spot on.

We have a daughter who notices my wife not being home in the morning. Get yourself a journal and keep entries daily, especially of her comings and goings and entries of your daughter's reactions (if any) to this. By Journal, I mean a physical bound book that you can write in. Electronic versions may not be admissible, but a journal is.

Do you have a cuckold fetish? Maybe you should get a big black bull and handcuff yourself to the bed while a real man satisfies you wife and they make fun of your little pee-pee. Just damn.

I am pretty sure the interviewer stated her opposition to this premise in her conclusion. To the premise of the article. She called specific attention to the gender comparisons in the beginning, however she let the much more egregious racial comparisons stand. The fact that her objections in the interview are being highlighted as points against what I said, makes my point for me. Merely pointing out the subtlety of NPR's bias.

Now this is too funny. The longest running argument my wife and I had was over me saying that I would babysit the kids while she did X after I got home from work. She would go apeshit that I dared to call it babysitting. My pov was, that's a baby; i'm sitting, ergo "babysitting". I see no problem with the fact that at that moment i am "babysitting", because as a father I am always parenting, it simply goes without saying. As the working part of the household, babysitting is an abnormal part of m…

You know everything you are saying to support your arguments are a direct contradiction to my first post. Distance is your friend. You are showing your complete ignorance to suggest that it is better to close and fight. I have seen people take a full clip of 9mm and keep going. That's quite a view you have; from your mom's basement.

Isn't that what most people do? .........and yet you keep going on about knives. So the only thing that trumps a "good knife" is a automatic gun? What??? What about a mediocre knife vs. a semi-non-automatic gun wielding ninja? What's best there? What if I have a good knife and the bad guy turns out to be a pirate with a cutlass? Good luck with that bullet catching strategy.
/r/becomeaman13/12/14 08:16 PM

Ok, you're right. It is much better to wrestle around in a knife fight. Especially if the attacker has a size advantage or is simply more aggressive. You got me there......... Oh, as a side note, you know most clothing options available would offer someone more than just one option of carry weapon. You could carry both a gun and a knife. Decide which was a best fit for the situation and go from there.
/r/becomeaman13/12/14 06:40 PM

The point of a gun is to keep you from having to be close to the danger. Distance is your best friend in all cases.

UVA and the fraternity most certainly have suffered real damage; as well as loss of reputation. US slander/defamation laws are tough to prove apparently, but i would love to see them go after everyone involved, just for sport if nothing else.

I'd like to think so. But there is no way a da is going to bring those charges against a battered wife. Even Dr Phil tiptoed around it. He went to great lengths to show that she could have been beaten by him before, just the specific time she called the cops was a lie. The complete lack of remorse from her just bothers the heck out of me.

Tripped across this last night. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/11/22/why-women-still-need-husbands/ You'll notice it lacks reasons why men should marry.
