i dont personally agree with this, i like the approach to dating where you know the direction of what yoy want, but are still open to see how things go and not uncompromising on your goal. if your goal is uncompromising though, you should tell her

i think nice guys are definitely real and womens bad experiences with them are common. i do think also that the term has become very popular to be just flung around, much like the term "narcissist " when most people have no idea that NPD is an actual diagnosable mental condition
