The Hague convention on international child abduction. Don't think Turkey and Russia are signatories.

Same happened to me. Unfortunately, 4 years and a month in jail later, I haven't even spoken to my son for 6 months. Women have all the power. Even IF russia and turkey were parties to the Hague convention on child abduction, there is very little you can do. I would hire the best Russian lawyer you could afford and start building your case. But honestly, as horrible as it sounds, you need to stat thinking about what your life will be like without your child in it. I'm so sorry for you brother. I…

Not only does it not work like that in real life, I have personally been found guilty and charged 8 years for false abuse accusations. It has ruined my life. Someone who was just vindictive and going for full custody of our child has lied her way through the past 4 years, bringing my personal, professional and psychological life to a complete halt. You are naive if you think that people will ever act as though nothing is wrong, no worries until proven guilty. Ok, what about me and countless othe…

It must be very challenging for you to put yourself in my shoes, knowing so little about me. You are entitled to your opinion, and you have the right to express it, but you sound pretty judgmental in this post. And you know nothing about my son so making that kind of statement is really fucking ballsy. If I were a betting man, I'd wager that you have been having some personal issues for a while and are acting out with judgmental posts to "signal your type of virtue." And a bit crazy.

lol, wrong ex.... Both Turkish girls I dated in my life are really sweet and we are still on good terms.... They are the ones who made me get into their politics and I evolved into an anti-Erdogan and anti-CHP individual. The more I read about Erdo, the more I don't like him, but then again, most of their politicians are scary-crazy.

I used to like the transformers as a kid but never got into power rangers. I've never heard of Cobra Kai but I'll give it a shot to see if it's ok for his age and character. To be honest it sounds like he's a little too young from your description of it. But yeah, Optimus Prime was one of my heroes growing up...

Yeah, I had held out for hope for a few years but she hasn't lifted her foot off the gas pedal since she was forced to come back to our son's country of birth and residence. It seems like the more I fight to be in my son's life, the more she punishes him and I. I wish there was a way I could have him in my life without her being so salty about it so that he can have a normal(ish) upbringing but she's gone off the deep end a long time ago and hasn't stopped lying and fighting since. The crazy par…

Hey, thanks for the advice about acting neutral and supportive. I agree with you 100% and it is helpful that you pointed out that there is a strong tendency to fight fire with fire in these situations. To be honest I've caught myself using her techniques a few times and was disgusted at myself. That being said, my question was more in the spirit of giving him options that are more in his interests for when we are not together. I definitely plan on doing activities with him when I see him IRL, CO…

Yeah, it's really brutal. I wish I knew what the risks were of letting her go "visit her family" with my son.... I would have never given her permission. The worst part is that he's the one paying for her mind-games. I can understand hating someone, for whatever reason, but will never understand someone damaging a young child's mind just to fuck with me. It seems like these techniques are much more prevalent than I could have imagined. Ever since talking about my experience with my ex, people li…

I haven't been able to sit through anything she has posted..... She loses me about 5 seconds in. That being said, any publicity is good publicity.

I think that the argument should be reframed in the sense of "if I had to choose between my life and life of a dog, would you take the dog's life?" I would argue that comparing the absolute value of life is subjective and that anyone who tells anyone that they think that everyone should value life the same way is also a very dangerous idea. I love my cat, but believe me that I would tear it apart with my bare hands of it meant saving the life of a human.

The legal system in Greece is the same. As a single father I have to fight tooth and nail just to see my son, which I haven't been able to do for over a year due to my ex's constant legal battle. They have given the mothers every single advantage just because their genitals don't hang. They care not for the insanity of the parent so long as they don't own a dick. It's completely insane and damaging to my son's mental wellbeing but hey, moms know best right? /s

The mom is nuts. All she had to do was find the right crazy-ass doctor and psychologist to feed her insanity. This is pure sociopathic behaviour and politically driven. Those people are a fine example of man-hate driven blind rage.

This. Get your ducks in a row. Record EVERYTHING. My situation has been the stuff of fantasy novels and with these types of women the end is simply inevitable. Just make sure that you're ready for it. Prepare for the worst (times 10 would have been better in my case) and hope for the best.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's as bad here as it is in the rest of the world, or worse. Problem is that the court system here would only give custody to the father if the mother is a proven drug user or prostitute. I'm sure that the worst is yet to come... :/

Clinical psychologist, not physicist. Btw, I'm in the same boat. She's lied to all of our common friends for over a year now after abducting my son to another country. I have a handful of friends left here and the rest of my aquaintances think I'm a monster. It sucks but I'm looking forward to her trying her shit in front of a judge next month.

Yeah, I'll try but it's still going to be a long one. She moved here five years ago to be with me, we had our kid 1 year into our relationship, all was going well until the baby arrived. She began being super attached to our son, not willing to leave him with me for more than a few moments at a time. She stayed at home while I worked (I sometimes had to work 14 hour days to support us in one of the worst economies of the western world) while she stayed at home. She would cook most of the time bu…

Yeah, if court is going to be anything like real life, she'll be calling a sardine a whale and so will her witnesses... I'm bracing myself for the trial as I'm sure she will be spitting venom from the depths of her glands but she has nothing unless she lies under oath..... which I should prepare for actually...

Man, I feel for you all and think that this is where the power of this sub is. I was close too and have since talked to a therapist. One thing that helps me is that our kids have a very short term memory and don't miss us nearly as much as we think they do. It helps. Here is my story: I met my ex in Canada before moving to Europe permanently. We met a month before I left but we kept in touch. Fast forward two years and she comes to visit me, we fell in love and 2 years later we have our son. She…
