I'm surprised this is still up. You are basically jerking your dick raw with this thread. Just because you disagree with a claim does not mean you do not understand it. For the most part TRP can neither be proved nor disproved. Understanding it does not change this. It is primarily based in anecdote. If you can see TRP theory in your life, it is "truth". If you cannot, it is bullshit. This is why PPD is useless for the most part. The burden of proof is on TRP to prove it's claim. Those who disag…

I have taken the initiative in most of my romantic adventures. Whenever I have told female friends and colleagues, particularly those who do not know me well, they seem surprised. For example, there was a rather attractive man who used to frequent my work. For a while we would just eye fuck each other. Neither of us said a word to each other. I intiated first contact. After a while I got his number and asked him out for coffee. Nothing happened sadly. I texted him, but he never texted me back. H…

I am not. That would be idiotic as there are more women than men in the world.

Exactly. The media will do anything to get sales. After 9'11 everything was pro-America and conservative. It has nothing to do with liberal bias or conservative bias. It has to do with what sales and what doesn't. Now most creative professionals tend to be liberal. (see: link) This is probably why most forms of entertainment tend to be liberal in nature. You can't blame people for sharing their own opinion through art.

You really like argueing semantics don't you? Equal in a social/legal sense. People are able to become the master's of their own destinies. Discrimination based upon what group a person belongs to is nullified. No one is truly equal. Everyone is fundamentally different. Under the law, though, everyone should be treated as equally as possible.

The current internet feminist movement reminds me of the internet emo movement back in 2008. In 2005-2006 everyone wanted to be emo on the online. You got extra points if you said you were bi. Flash forwards to 2008. Emo becomes a dirty word. No one wants to be emo any more. Anyone who is still emo claims to be "scene" now instead. Anyone one who was emo denies ever being one. The internet is fickle with trends. Everyone just jumps from one movement to the next. Eventually the movement becomes c…

Female/mid 20's I was in a weird half-relationship with an Asian male when I was in High school. It never ended up going anywhere, sadly, due to my poor social skills at the time (I was awful at picking up on non-verbal ques). I currently live in an area where my dating options primarily consist of Latinos and white people, so my dating history with this specific racial group is rather scarce. None the less, I find quite a few Asian men attractive. In media, I tend to find attractive Asian males…

You can't claim something is true without sufficient, well-supported, and accurate data. Most of those "facts" are difficult to prove and as you stated, not seen in every member of the gender. Thus they cannot be "True". Truth is always true. I assume that you are merely saying they are true because your personal anecdote. Anedotes are nearly impossible to prove or disprove. Thus they cannot be the basis of truth. Shit tests are subjective. Anything can be defined as a shit test. Emotion=emotion…

As evopsych is entirely speculative, it often falls into the realm of pseudo science. The field often ignores contradictory evidence or explanations (Neuralplasticity, Environmental Psychology, etc.) in favor of their unprovable claims. As their claims often cannot be proved, they are extreamly difficult to disprove. It makes arguing against proponents of the field extreamly difficult. It is a bit like arguing with someone who is extremely religious. (see: The Dragon In My Garage) EvoPsych has a…

Except for the fact that gendered color preferences (pink for girls, blue for boys) were in fact reversed in the past. You would have to look at cross-cultural color preferences to determine if color preference is innate. That's the main issue of EvoPsych, it ignores any data that does not support it's view.

Lurker here for the drama. I used to post here, but got rid of that account. Just had to correct you. Ignorance is like nails on a chalkboard to me. According to the disputed alpha theory, there are also alpha females in wolf packs. It is a tad ironic that you can't even get your facts straight and you criticize BP for scientific ignorance. I get it. You are ranting. But you can't criticize some one for the scientific literacy when you don't post anything to support yourself. It is especially ri…
