I would like it to be how it was in the past. Before two families (usually in the church) would think it's a swell idea if their kids made a family. If the daughter and son of each family both agreed their was attraction. They would marry them off. There was no DATING. People did not DATE. Courtship itself was really only done by the Aristocracy. I hated college too. Honestly I hate any sort of class or meeting at this point. I personally feel like college made me incredibly cynical to our whole education system. I learned nothing I will ever use. My parents pressured me into a 4 year college. Honestly every class and meeting could have been an email or a khan Academy link. Defund the police? How about defund the education system first. Even trade schools. Employers can train their own people at their own expense.

Im in the same situation. I'm three years deep into a relationship I want no part of. We live together too. I was so much happier before.
