And even if they were African, I don't get this American trait of people being X-American. Why not American X instead, so American Africa, American Irish, etc? The fact these people live in the USA, take benefits and education from the USA, pay taces (hardly likely for some of the people in this gif), etc etc, makes them American first, whatever else second. It is and it bothers me. I don't care if someone calls me white, it's a fact. And I work with a guy whose grandmother was black, and he's very light and gets pissed if people call him black, refers to himself as "halfassed grey" instead. it just strikes me as absurd that if a white person uses the word nigger, people go batshit, but this women on here is black and referring to another black person as a nigger. Why is that okay, but calling someone black is really not?

True! I know NHS dentists are a little hard to find in some areas, but it's not as if the unemployed are lacking in time, is it? And at any rate, floss or tape costs under a pound, and that makes all the difference. I had okay teeth which went to shit when I lost a pregnancy. Using dental tape has significantly improved my dental hygiene.

He really was. He died in May 1999. my Grams died two years ago today, and I don't think she ever really recovered after he passed. They brought out the best in one another and that was the best example I could have seen.

My Grandparents raised me as my Mum was ill a lot of the time. My Grandad was a boomer father (my father himself left when we were very young) and my Grandfather was incredible. He taught me so much and was an incredible role model. I wish more women had father figures like my Grandad and the relationship I saw between him and my Gram was just wonderful. Not perfect, nothing is, but healthy, realistic and a fantastic example.

I'm female and a trainee surgeon. Marriage and co living free. I left my ex for a number of reasons, but a big one was he wanted kids, and he didn't want me to do my postgraduate training to be a surgeon. Part of my job involves training undergraduates in my field and women just limit themselves and want to fail. Nobody makes them do this, it's their choice and they oppress themselves best of all. Sorry if me posting on here's not welcome because of the uterus and all.
