You're looking at sex with her as the prize. It isn't. Building a life with her is the prize and that's something only you get to do. Sex lasts minutes, maybe a hour at best. Yeah, it feels good, but it's a such a small piece of intimacy between partners. The fact that she told you she did it even though it made her feel terrible should tell you something. It didn't mean anything to her, so why should it mean anything to you? He couldn't keep her, man. You can. You already won.

All I can give you is my perspective as a woman. I look at men crying the same way I look at women crying. I feel empathy, concern, and a little awed that the person felt comfortable enough to let me see them in a vulnerable moment. I also have my limits on this, equally, with any gender.
