Wine is nice but I'm not much of a drinker and am never sure of what to get. Instead, I like to give a nice jar of local honey and/or a small bunch of flowers. I don't bring food unless I've been asked (but always offer of course) or unless I know the person well and know it would be appreciated.

Has it always been like this? Is it a possibility that he disagrees with other aspects of your parenting but it is manifesting as this particular issue? Just seems very strange! Can you come to him with sources outlining the importance of vegetables and fruit? Also phrase it as "You're a man and much bigger and stronger than us. Of course you like meat and need a lot of it! But we simply don't need as much you and have different nutritional needs. Can you understand?"

That's very extreme and sounds pretty controlling. My husband does not like veggies either but recognises their importance in health. Does he expect you to eat his way as well?

This sounds really difficult for you. Is his stance coming from a nutritional stand point or just because it's what he likes? I can understand him not wanting fruit served at dinner, but no veg either? Is he into low carb or something?

My husband is very much the same and it drives me batty. One thing that helps sometimes is to get him to commit to a time to do it. I don't expect things done straight away, I know he's busy and has his own priorities, but if I ask him if he can do/fix something I'll follow up with "Okay, thank you. That'll relieve so much stress for me. When can you do it?" Then when the time comes and he still hasn't begun, I'll say "Hey, you said you'd do that thing for me now. Can we go do it as I'm really a…

In regard to gifts, take your time to really look at the gift and admire it. Don't just say thank you but add something personal such as why you like it or how you'll use it. Say, for example, it's a hand cream or similar, open the lid and smell it, comment on how beautiful it smells and rub a little on your hands. Or, if it's a candle, talk about how you can't wait to use it while having a bath because it'll really help you relax and you need that at the moment. It doesn't matter how small the …

I think it's fine to try with a few hints initially but some men can be fearful they are reading them wrong or oblivious to them altogether so if they don't work I agree with being direct too.

There's nothing inherently wrong with living with your parents, but it sounds like there could be some dependence issues there. Not with you necessarily, it's normal to some degree to be fearful of living on your own, but what about them? You say they don't want you to leave, are they encouraging you to find a partner or just want you to stay with them forever? I can't tell you what to do as I don't know the full extent of your circumstances, but I know with myself I gained a lot of confidence a…

My arm hair is rather fair but can get REALLY long so I just shave it every couple of months. That is enough to keep it at a better length. I've thought about using a trimmer also but haven't yet. I could shave everyday but I actually prefer the feeling of having hair.

Totally agree with this.

Some ideas I use with my six year old: Foam swords. They do not hurt at all but still very fun to try and avoid being hit whilst also trying to get the other person. Karate chopping toilet paper. Hold out a length and let him chop it. Make it more difficult by getting him to use other parts of his body. Or, wrap him in it and let him escape. Punching through newspaper. Hold a sheet out away from you and let him try and punch through. Arm wrestles and thumb wars. Violent play with toys. You be on…

Plenty of people begin parenthood without much experience in caring for babies, myself included, and manage to do just fine. I had never done the things you mentioned but it did not take me long to figure it out. Every child is so different as well so you despite your experience you will still need to figure out what works best for YOUR child. Give him that space too. In saying that, it sounds like he is comfortable with the fact that this is an area where you know better. Not only because of yo…

What do you use to clean it? I just use plain dishwashing liquid and a scourer (and a bit of elbow grease) for the glass and tiles and then a firm brush for the grout. Takes me 5-10 mins max while I'm already in the shower.

Crumbed and cooked for a few mins in a pan is the best way imo. The crumb seems to stop it drying out as much. Exactly how long it will take depends on the heat of the pan and and size of the breast of course, but just keep practicing and you will just get to know when it's done.

I made this recently and it was really good: https://www.bbc.com/food/recipes/british_beef_raj_curry_70957 Zucchini soup with beef broth is yummy too.

You could always cook him dinner or even pack a lovely picnic and go out somewhere together. He may appreciate that more than you paying for dinner.

My husband is my best friend in the sense that he is my closest companion and confidant but he is also so much more than a best friend. That is the reality of the intimacy of marriage. I don't see how you can separate friendship with the person you are most intimate with. No I don't share every detail of the female experience with him - I do think it's important to have female friends and family to be able to do that with - but on the whole he is the person I trust and want to be with most.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
