I know what they are talking about. I'm pointing out how their data isn't complete. My reply had nothing to do with feelings.

Because they usually have children and it's easier for the man to sleep on a couch somewhere than to uproot the children.

The only reason why me do more house work now than in 1976 is because his WORKING wife also has to take care of the kids without help from grandparents. Boomers do not help rear children like their parents did for them. Men don't have the luxury of doing absolutely nothing anymore especially with the divorce rate hovering around 50% and women gaining significantly more financial independence.

Calling BS! Married women who work and have children work significantly more than married men with children. Sick children, feeding everyone, bathing and night routines, waking in the middle of night, as well as shopping for groceries and clothes are all unaccounted for in your quoted stats and are more than likely performed by the wife. This is what I call cherry picking stats.

Also, men filing for divorce means that he has to leave his home and pay alimony/child support. He may be a shit husband, but he is likely not an idiot.

Same thing happened in my family. My uncle just up and left one day and my aunt waited 5 years to file and only did so because she met someone else.

Women initiating the divorce proceedings just mean that the woman took the initiative to end it. I know men who literally up and left their marriage, but never filed for divorce. I've also seen situations where men didn't want to be perceived as the bad guy so they behave so poorly to force their wife to file, so they can then in turn tell their family that she left him. This stat reminds me of the unemployment rate stat in that it's value as an indicator is overblown.

BS! Men have sex with "ugly sluts" all the time, but they just won't admit it or deny. They take those bodies to the grave. There are lots of men who have sex with anything that's easy depending on how horny they are. According this sub fat women should be or are ignored, but most of the fat women I know have CRAZY high body counts and when they show me a pic of the guy I almost want to call BS, but they have the texts to prove it.

Most of the male responses to this post make me actually believe that gods created humans for their enjoyment and entertainment. The majority of women with high N counts are the women who actually like average men, but the average men don't want them because they have sex with "too many" men, who are likely average. 🤷 Women with low body counts are not virtuous. These women are just attracted to a smaller number of men.

These posts get no traction because this sub and pretty much any relationship sub is PACKED with anti-social people or people with some sort of social anxiety disorder. So, any suggestions regarding being good at being social are going to be challenged because it's basically like advising people to sign up to be tortured. Every friend I've ever had has tried to introduce me to someone or put me in positions to meet someone. Being social is how you meet people and meeting people is how you find p…

Ah, I see what you did there! So, if one black person commits a crime, are all black people criminals?? Obviously, the answer is no, but the issue is at some point, there is "enough" of an occurance of something to impact people's perception. There are enough short angry men to move the needle. Just like there are enough bad cops, and enough black criminals.

Hypergamy is not evolutionary biology, it's a byproduct of evolutionary biology. It's a social response to biology. If resources were abundant and equally available to everyone, women would be less discriminatory in their selection process. This is not evolution, it's being smart and practical. This practice just gets passed down through generations just like square ham. Women are taught from an early age to choose wisely.

Most large U.S. cities. 100K to live in a nice neighborhood and the height to deter threats. Women have grown up watching short men get bullied and pummeled by taller and bigger people in real life and in entertainment. Then the short bullied boy turns into the short angry man with a Napoleon complex, which adds one more reason to avoid them.

Most robbers want easy victims. After a skinny woman, a short slender man is second on that list. From an early age women grow up watching the little guy get pummeled by bigger guys. Bullies almost never beat up kids their size or bigger. Hard to feel protected by someone shorter than you. Women who date shorter men most likely don't care about being protected.

My take on this is if a person planned a date, he or she should pay. If you ask someone out and picked the restaurant and activities (using some input from them of course), than you should expect to pay. Think of it as creating an experience that you want the other person to be a part of. It's an opportunity to highlight your personality strengths and sets the standard for your taste level. I find the people who are the most uncomfortable paying are broke, see dating as a prelude to hooking up, …

IMO, Love is real in two ways: as an emotion and as a verb. However, love only helps ease the friction that exists in relationships, because partnerships are antithetical to our natural instinct of self-preservation, which leads to a tendency to be selfish. Also, most partnerships are transactional. There is always a reason to partner with someone. Most people don't partner solely for the other person's benefit. We all want something from our partnerships. Both versions of love help partners mov…

IMO, it's difficult for women to fully empathize with men on any topic because it requires coming up with a healthier alternative and often times those are difficult to come by and some women have characterized men as their oppressor or opponent and don't see the need or have the desire to help them. Hence, the response to men who struggle obtaining sex and relationships. Women understand the root cause, but don't have any solutions for the problem outside of keep trying or leaving men to figure…

I don't believe the Proud Boys or Boogaloo Boys were formed because men are sexually unsuccessful. You clearly missed my reference to the MGTOW subreddit. That is what makes me BELIEVE that this army will not form. The Proud Boys or Boogaloo Boys are not an army. They are protesting with anti-vaxxers and elderly Trump supporters ffs! Lastly, I never said that fascism wasn't a global issue. I said that money is more important. You are insinuating that the Proud Boys and Boogaloo Boys can overthro…

I agree that many of them are frustrated, but I just don't buy that they are frustrated enough to form a army based solely on reinstitutiing the patriarchy. Blaming women for their radicalization is BS in my opinion. Men have never been entitled to women. Most men realize that. They don't like it, but they get it. China, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and most African nations won't let America collapse. China and Saudi Arabia own too much of America to allow that and we give too many African nations aid …

NOPE!!! Prostitution will be legal soon and half of their "army" will disappear overnight. Look at how they react to sexual cosplay and Onlyfans women??? Also, men who have the gumption to form an army will not have any trouble attracting women. I just don't think they are capable. Cowardly acts of terrorism are more likely than the formation of an army. They don't even believe that is possible. Read 3 posts on MGTOW and you wouldn't be concerned either.

Some men are still coming to grips with the fact that women only accepted them, as is, when they had no other choice. It's killing so many men to learn that women only paired with them because they legally lacked self-determination and not because of some bullshit Disney/Hallmark fairy tale. They really believed that women were biologically wired to WANT to serve them. Even if women did feel that way at some point, evolution seems to have kicked in. The moment women obtained CHOICE, half of men …

My edit wasn't as articulate as I would have liked. I didn't mean that men should improve for women. Improvement builds confidence and success and people are attracted to successful people. For someone who has difficulty attracting people, success could be an improvement. When the odds are against you, it requires almost a stubbornness to overcome them.

What if self-improvement replaced masculinity? Much of what we believe is because it was taught to us at a young age and then reinforced by society over the course of our lives. Men are taught hard work and be strength will bring them success and that is just not true. Being the best version of yourself removes masculinity all together. You are you and you're building on you everyday. That can become the source of your confidence as well as your success in other things, not just your success wit…

Even if you accept that as true, you still have a 10% chance and one should maximize that opportunity even if it is limited. Yes, it's a much harder road, but being great at something can bring you wealth, which can help pay for improvements like cosmetic surgery and innovation to help discover other potential improvements.

Incels have trouble attracting women for various reasons (looks, mental or physical disability, height/frame, etc.), while most Fuckboys have no trouble attracting women. A woman could know he's a Fuckboy and still stay with him for one reason or another (great sex, physically attractive). Pedestal or not, casual or commitment, Incels struggle initiating any sort of relationship with women. I'm pretty sure there are Incels who have tried both of those approaches and still failed. I'm neither obtuse nor stupid, but your response makes it clear that you are both. Either you do not understand how CS is calculated and how Family Court works or you are one of those people who believe that if you don't like something than it must be wrong or unfair. Your mentioning of your living expenses or two sets of living expenses is an example of your inability to process how Family Court determines lifestyle/quality of life or why they use that method instead of your so called fairness …

First, your situation is not a traditional CS situation because you just pay for things he needs. You don't give her a set amount of money per month, so you can't say what she would give your child with the extra money or that it wouldn't benefit the child. Maybe the extra money would go to music lessons or a better holiday. Second, we will have to agree to disagree that the financial split isn't 50/50. If one parent makes 50K and the other makes 30K, the child is entitled to an 80K lifestyle, r…

You're living a little worse off for your child, not her. Again, this is the issue with people's perception of CS. It's all about the idea that your money is making your ex-partner's life better, when in fact it's about ensuring that your child gets the best it's parents has to offer. Your ability to provide him with things he needs at your home is more about your ability to manage your finances than it is about paying CS.

I disagree with your assertion that you would need to work more. You likely wouldn't work more to maintain. You would adjust your personal living expenses to ensure that you can meet your payment obligation, like any other financial obligation. Making more money just means you pay more in support.

There are ways to obtain phyiscal custody of your child without creating a tug-o-war and I'm not sure what you mean by she would win. If you already share 50/50 physical custody, what would she win? The court would like continue that arrangement. As far as payments go, again this is you basing this off of what you believe your child needs. I'm not sure how giving your child less than what the court says benefits him, unless you believe that it benefits him because you are happier with the arrang…

Women have an advantage in court because, in most situations, they already have physical custody of the child and can demonstrate that they have been the child's primary caregiver. The advantage is based on the role in the child's life , not gender. If men want to win more custody battles, they should take their kids with them when they leave or are asked to leave by their partners. Without a custody agreement, the police cannot take the kid from him if she objects. Also, have some evidence that…

All of this amounts to doing what's best for the adults and not the child who did not ask to be here. The courts favor the child and by proxy the custodial parent. A child should only live in luxury if the parent lives in luxury. It should not be optional for a wealthy parent to unilaterally decide that their child is only entitled to basic needs because they are concerned that the custodial parent will benefit.

Starting at a 50-50 split is not fair to the child in a situation when the income disparity between the parents is too great. It would mean that the child would only have access to what the lower income parent can afford half of. Direct payments are fine, but the high earner would still be responsible for ensuring that the child's home (the literal roof over its head) meets a similar standard has the high earner's. Again, if it bothers the high earner that his or her income will supplement the l…

In some instances, that is the case, but often times high earners are at a disadvantage because the job that allows them to earn well usually means that they are not the child's primary caregiver and custody will most likely be awarded to that person. If the high earner's primary concern is the custodial parent's lifestyle then he or she has already made a bad decision by having a child with someone who makes less money than him or her.

Your assessment of child support assumes that there is a standard cost for raising a child that can be split evenly between two people, but there isn't. The only standard is what the parents can afford to spend. If one parent makes a significant income, it is not unreasonable to believe that the child should enjoy a lifestyle that reflects that income. Much like the other commenter, you seem to be more concerned with how the custodial parent will benefit than how the child will benefit. Wanting …

You have clearly decided that the absolute worse outcome is the only outcome. Why do you assume that this would require repeated court visits? Also, the AVERAGE US citizen doesn't make $500k a year. It's more like $40K that's why the average is so low. My original comment was about the purpose of CS, not how it's spent or allocated. CS is based on the lifestyle of the parents, not how much it cost to raise a child. People who make $500K a year live better than people who make $40K a year.

That is a general rule, but if you research further you will see what I said is true. Monitoring is not required, but it can be requested and mediated, so the "nothing you can do part" is just flat out wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/21 11:18 AM
2

That's not true. How the money should be spent can be outlined in the CS order and depending on your state, monitoring of how the money is spent can also be a part of the CS order. The higher earning parent may be responsible for specific things like housing, daycare, medical expenses, and clothing or he or she can be required to pay a specific amount each month for these expenses. Issues relating to how the money is spent can be mediated or remedied by the Family Court judge. Also, my comment d…

How the money is spent doesn't change the purpose of it, so there really isn't any assumptions to be made. If CS payments are misappropriated, that creates a different issue. However, your comment speaks to the heart of people's real issue with CS, which is that it will be used to benefit the custodial parent. Unfortunately, by ensuring that the child lives at the same standard of the non-custodial parent, in instances where there is a large income disparity, CS can be a windfall for the custodi…

Only time will tell for you, but when you are working incredibly hard to make that $500K, and you are asking yourself why you're doing it, I'm willing to bet that, "to give my child every advantage possible" is some where near the top of that list. Being a part of the 5% of the world would make your child 1 in 390 million and if you're in the U.S. that's 1 in 16.5 million. Top 5 doesn't seem like that much of an advantage when you place it in the proper perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/21 02:44 AM

Your perception of child support is a common misconception. The purpose of Child Support is to provide the child with a lifestyle that is commensurate with it's parent's salary. Therefore, if you make $500K per year, your child's lifestyle should reflect that as well. That usually means private school and access to things like swim lessons, music lessons, athletic training, and other enriching experiences. Private school alone can cost more than $30K per year.

An Ottoman Harem does not describe this situation. The biggest difference is choice. Most women didn't choose to join a harem. Harems were filled using purchased slaves and strategic marriages. Membership in a harem also had financial, social and political benefits. The likely scenario is that we will see a wider spectrum of relationship types, ranging from women and men who choose to co-parent without ever engaging in an actual relationship to polygamy/polyamory. Also, monogamy will still exist…

Women never found the majority of men attractive. Threatening women with loneliness is not going to change their attraction standards. They will just adapt to find companionship in each other while still sleeping with the men they find attractive. Men are less valuable now then they ever have been because less women need a man for money or status. Equal pay for equal work will make men even less valuable. Automation might be the tipping point as many men will lose their value in the job market a…

Again, this is a stereotype. Women tolerate pretty much anything from men they like/love or men who they want to love them. Most women over the age of 25 have dated at least one guy with a crazy ex-wife/baby mama drama story and actually sided with him about the ex. The real issue is that women aren't always honest about why they reject men, and as a result men never really know why a women decided to move on. These types of guys are frauds and women know it and that's why they get rejected most times. He is actually pretending to be her friend when he really wants to be in a relationship with her. As far as emptying emotions, women do the same thing to their female friends. Every woman has a friend who has a boyfriend or ex-boyfriend that she is tired of hearing about. But every time her friend calls crying, she answers it, listens, and then tells her, for the 1000th time, to break up with him. That'…

I totally disagree! Reddit and RL are filled with women tolerating all types of insecurities from men. Run a search in reddit for women trying to help their husbands/boyfriends feel more secure about height/penis size/balding/ sexual performance, etc. and you find popular threads and responses. Anybody who has friends that they actually see in real life and not online and/or have seen or experienced real relationships knows this post is as true as any stereotype.
