Domestic violence is not equal to partner violence, or am i wrong? Could also include violence experienced by other (male) family members. Or of course violence in same sex partnerships. However, i also don't doubt that lvw can be violent towards their partners.

Actually had the same thought while browsing ASOS the other day, but because of the pictures and poses they choose for some clothes. They look so "sexed up" and I think to remember a time when ASOS was a little more real.

Well, I can't stay friends with exes of any kind. In the end I know that I would find it strange or be hurt when they have moved on to another person. Maybe that's childish, but for me it's best to acceppt something has ended, invest in myself and keep that person out of my life. But you do you and every journey is different :)

Hugs...I'm currently in a similar situation and it sucks. The situationship ended 2 months ago, but not in a good way and it's still bugging me. I want closurse, but realize that I will never get that. No more situationships for me. They break your heart, but at the same time you feel like an idiot because you never were in a real relationship. In the end, don't feel bad about being sad. Being emotional is part of being human. Acceppt and move on. That's at least what I try to do and most days i…

Hitting the nail on the head. This is a realization that for me has become more apparent due to corona. I realize that my support system is actually quite flimsy and that I long for closeness which I so naively thought was only available with a partner...making me chase men that had no interest in me. Now I am focusing more on the few good friends that I have as well as my family.

It's a coping mechanism. Overcoming grief and moving on for one's own sake might include "forgiveness". I think it's one more reason to have compassion with the victim...they are so low that they need to forgive the unforgivable just to live a somehwat normal life. I feel for her.

Don't do what I did, which is basically pretending nothing has happened. Leads to a serious mental wake-up call later down the path. With that in mind, take your time to wallow, take your time to heal...do nice, little things that cheer you up. Go out with friends. Or eat that gallon of ice cream and cry while watching a stupid romcom. It will get easier. Promise.

Sometimes the nap is the right choice. Action should go hand in hand with resting :)

“I think I’ve been pretty accommodating through this whole process, but I have to say it’s a hardship, this whole temporary-involuntary-celibacy-because-my-wife’s-birth-canal-is-occupied-by-an-infant thing,” said Greenwood, who admitted that it almost felt like his wife was teasing him by already having her pants off and her legs spread open on the hospital bed. “Look, I totally understand that she may not feel the most attractive right now because she’s struggling to push out the baby, but I ha…

"Do I have the right to be mad at him?" We as women really are not socialised to listen to our feelings or feel like we have the right to have boundaries. So glad I found FDS.

Hell no. This poor girl...sounds like he groomed her to believe that others are just "treating her like eye candy or porn", but not him (the 62yo grandpa). Cannot even begin to grasp being 18 and having had multiple Dom/Sub relationships.

I theoratically couldn't agree more...but sometimes I am a weak ass woman. Trying to get there though and FDS is certainly a major eye opener!

I was in a relationship that almost lasted a decade and I cannot think of a "best date" scenario within that. Wow. It's honestly a little sad. However, I was on a date yesterday that gives me hope: he booked a nice table at one of my favorite restaurants, showed genuine interest in my career and life, actually complimented the way i looked in an appropriate way, paid for everything and after the date was over brought me home, we kissed and he immediateley wrote me how much he enjoyed the evenini…
