Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. But now you're telling me that they are, in fact, not the same as the people in the rural area. Which means that they ARE above average.

You originally stated that people in major cities are not above average. Now you say they are... So you were disagreeing with me before, but now apparently are in agreement with me

I actually confirmed they were correct, but go off. I've also lived in more rural areas. Half the people there were on meth...but tell me more about how the people who live in the middle of nowhere are on the same level as the ambitious folk making hundreds of thousands of dollars in a major city

Yes, I live in one of the largest cities in the US. Obviously not everyone is above average here, but I can tell you in terms of salary that most people make quite a bit above the national average here. Obesity rates are also very obviously lower than most LCOL areas of the US. Intelligence levels also tend to be higher given people here are working in high level jobs. Obviously it doesn't apply to everyone here, but as a whole, the "average" is quite a bit higher than everywhere else.

Just curious, do you live in a major city?

But they are, though. Unless you live in a major city where the majority of people are above average.

I think it's less about men and women being different, and more about the fact that people with severe mental issues requiring therapy often genuinely cannot fathom that there are people in the world who don't have those problems.

But that's not the same metric, though. You're selecting a small subset of the population and taking the average of that. I'm referring to the average of the entire population.

For subjective categories, sure. But it's no secret that many exceptionally attractive women have massively inflated egos due to their huge sex appeal in their college years. Being flown out to vacations by millionaires in exchange for sex and what not. Eventually, they realize they aren't going to marry the 6'4" business owner with an 8 figure net worth under 30 years old. That's my point

In what world is that an ever changing metric? Do you live in a world where the average height of a grown man fluctuates dramatically year after year? And their net worth? It doesn't. If you're arguing that the numbers vary by age, well yes, that's obvious. That's also why you become less desirable to many as you get older.

By definition, there is an average in virtually every category you're worried about in the man you're going to marry. Annual salary, net worth, height, appearance, social skills, whatever. Measurable or not, there is an average. One can be above average in one category and below average in another, but by definition, the summation of a man across all those categories will usually fall somewhere around the average.

They know what an average man is. They just think they're going to marry the top 1%. A couple years after graduating college, you will see them all forced to come back down to earth once they realize they aren't going to be marrying a celebrity. Then they all quickly start getting engaged to average guys so they don't end up alone.

Most women are obviously not going to date a 35 year old man who is still pretending like he's 16, working some part time job that won't even pay the bills. It's really not even a question, your friend is just in denial

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
