One possible reason is that the risks for underage girls are greater than for underage boys (unwanted pregnancy, social stigma, the possibility of physical intimidation). 0	Aren’t some double standards okay? I’m suggesting that men and women should sometimes be treated differently (but, of course, fairly) based on their differences. 1	Aren’t some double standards okay? Thanks for your reply. I agree that it is never fair to apply different standards arbitrarily or based on bias or bigotry.
