Why should a child respect an irrational creature? Why do they need to know about sex to swallow the red pill and see the truth as it is? Should we just coddle them and raise them in a blue pill fantasy world? Isn't that why the guys on here are so bitter, they've been lied to all their lives by women and women's media? The fisherman doesn't ask the fish how he'd prefer to get caught, you don't raise your child with the illusion that women should be calling any shots.

If it takes them longer than Kindergarten, you're failing as a parent.

It does them good to teach them that AWALT when they're as young as possible. Mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and daughters are no exceptions.

Why is his sister convenient, doesn't he have a mother you can use as training material? I mean I don't have a daughter, but my wife works just fine. I don't even have to scold her anymore, my 6 year old son does all the work for me.

Being powerful, high-profile, very attractive =/= dark triad traits. Much like how to men: 900 pounds, nose the size of forehead, red lipstick =/= Kate Upton with red lipstick on.

Only there is no record of Marilyn Monroe having ever said that. Calling her a Red Piller is completely absurd. Regardless, I doubt that a woman with as much prestige as she did would ever go for a man who needs to spend that much time and effort into landing a woman. She (and other women in her position) went after very authentic high profile, very physically attractive men.

Male sluts and male non-virgins also have a much, much higher divorce rate. Being with someone who has a low partner count is as good a strategy for women and men (and it definitely can be a good strategy).

Thank you for admitting that you do not have any recent sources of your own and are relying on bad practices to drive your point home - using old data. In the 1980 (when the people in this study were coming of age) the US murder rate was 10.2 per 100,000 inhabitants. In 2012 that number was 4.7 per 100,000 inhabitants. The marriage rate has risen by 5 years for men and women since the 1970s. In the 1970s, when the average person in the study was coming of age, it was just starting to become comm…

No, I don't have newer data that shows this particular trend but we don't have any data showing that this is the way things are now either. I stand by 1-2 more instances per month not being significant.

I was responding to the OP who believes that men should always lead a relationship and should be the ones who have a final say in everything, men should be the ones calling the shots. He didn't see how it was possible for two people to take turns calling the shots depending on what they were disagreeing on. I didn't choose one because you came up with a very vague scenario. It matters how your partner feels about it, why they feel that way, and what the actual subject is. If my boyfriend wants t…

I'm not saying it's men's fault, I'm saying that the fact that you're blaming women is ridiculous because you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Marriages do break down and just because women are more likely to go through with the divorce doesn't mean that men hadn't given up on the marriage or that they are blameless. Also statistics on people's reasons for divorce vary by source, and recent studies find that the gap in which gender initiates a divorce is closing.

Do you think that a woman who divorces her husband who has cheated on her multiple times ("I promise to be true to you" -- men are more likely to cheat) would be the one not taking "the vows seriously"? What if her husband beats her? Gambled away their life savings? That's ridiculous. You're making generalizations about an entire gender based on statistics that can be interpreted in a million different ways.

I was going to list characters, but I decided to post TV tropes character types associated with either 'pill' instead. Women may initiate a large portion of divorces, but you don't really know why they're initiating them. Divorces don't necessarily come out of nowhere, women could be initiating divorces because the guys were cheating, gambling, alcoholics, etc. It's like if a College course has a 50% fail rate, to assume that there is a 50% chance that I personally will fail from that data alone. Ignoring the fact that a large portion of the class maybe didn't care enough to study and shouldn't have been there i…

But why should a woman have to compromise for a man in such a scenario, which is what the OP was saying? That's incredibly entitled and not how normal romantic/platonic relationships work. Logically, applying logic to every situation does not bode well for a society. Willing to jeopardize social bonds to always do things in the most efficient manner is a really shitty relationship strategy, healthy social interaction requires you to be lenient and to not always enforce your way of doing things o…

Nobody really approves a compromises, that'd be weird. Things that people aren't willing to compromise on tend to be discussed before people get married/have kids. Do you not see how feeling deserving of never having to compromise because you were born with a penis, at the expense of the person you love always having to do so could be wrong? This is why it's difficult to see TRP as a self-improvement subreddit, as it is generally just an echo chamber of people who feel entitled to having their n…

Sigmas like women, but tend to be contemptuous of them. Why is being contemptuous of women a must for the men who write about higher male sexual hierarchies?

Being uncompromising is a trait observed in High Conflict Persons. Black and white all-or-nothing thinking like that is very unhealthy. Why do you deserve to not have to compromise at the expense of another person always/usually having to give in? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dilemma

I responded to that here. The people in that study did have sex on average 1.5 more times per month. But couples who are egalitarian and split chores more evenly report better marital satisfaction, better sex lives and are less likely to divorce. Also, that study was done in the early 1990s on people born in the mid 1940s, who are now approaching the age of 70. If you come to a mutual decision with a new partner (sans typical RP manipulation) that that relationship dynamic would work for you, th…

Life involves having to make compromises, gender doesn't matter when it comes to being uncompromising in a relationship/while parenting. In your example the could talk to her about wanting to have input in those types of scenarios if he is against the dance. There are things that I am against that my boyfriend thinks are fine, and vice-versa, but you can talk through each individual scenario and come to a compromise instead of having a domineering partner. That's the fast track to the relationsh…

Why can't two people make decisions together? Isn't this just the opposite side of the same coin, going from one extreme to the other? I was raised in a similar household so I get where you're coming from, but I ended up with more of a "relationships are a two-way street" mentality. TRP seems like the domineering female scenario reversed (all men are pigs vs. all women are emotional children).

Thank you for this, I went through similar experiences as a pre-teen/teen and am now also very protective of young girls. It's incredibly insulting for someone to say that not wanting men to be able to have sex with 7 year olds (which was the age of consent in some states just over a hundred years ago, thank you feminism) means you're jealous of their sexual market value. As if landing a man is the only thing women are capable of thinking about. We now know how long it takes for kids to mature i…

So you'd feel better if your mother was the one who was broken? Why wouldn't a child of that kind of dynamic come to the conclusion that dominating someone in a relationship is wrong, period? Is it a revenge thing?

The data used was from 20 and 22 years ago, so the numbers are definitely a bit outdated. The average age for women in the study was 44, and the average age for men was 46. So since the data is 20-22 years old, that would mean the average male participant was born in 1946 and the average female participant was born in 1949. People who are now in their mid to late sixties who came of age around the time JFK was assassinated. Perhaps women who worked were more likely to share the household duties,…

Do you feel that a relationship where your father was the dominant one would be preferable?

I don't know, I subscribe to the philosophy of: if anyone is unhappy, it is your responsibility to feel better and nobody else's. Patrice O'Neal is an entertainer though, so I don't see how he's relevant. Telling the guy he behaved badly is dehumanizing? Not dehumanizing someone doesn't mean you have to kiss their ass. I don't understand what you're talking about. Dehumanizing Jewish people (they're all the same, they're all drains on society, they're all greedy, etc.) was done in 1930s Germany …

I think the fact that there are men willing to accept red pill ideology is because they are ignorant of the fact that it dehumanizes women, much like how newly converted Nazis were ignorant of the fact that propaganda in 1930s Germany dehumanized Jewish people. It's easy to accept an ideology that dehumanizes people if you are low on empathy and are self-serving, almost nobody thinks they're a "bad" person. This might also be why red pillers hold dark-triad traits in high regard. Another thing I…

It's troubling because the entire movement relies on dehumanizing women. It prioritizes your penis above everything and everyone else and cherry picks pop-science and pop-evolutionary psychology to confirm these mens' biases and rationalize that their behavior is acceptable.

I'm not the op but I have read lots and lots of red pill material and I become more and more disgusted with the 'movement' the more I read. It's kind of like how most people who study the Holocaust extensively don't stop being against Nazis. It's just crazy that people are capable of believing in this material and I'm interested in what deficits the people who believe it have.

I know guys and girls who have cheated, and I know guys and girls who have been cheated on. I also know guys and girls who go out and have one night stands regularly. I know way more male sluts than female sluts, the worst stories I've heard are from my uncle, who talks about his (male) friends who are having affairs. I'm not close to any of these people, I don't care for that lifestyle, so I mostly hang out with different people. I don't think red pillers' environments are any different than th…

Telomere length is a factor in longevity in humans but I don't think that means what you (and the people who wrote those articles) think it does. Ageing isn't completely understood yet, and longer telomeres definitely do not equal longer life expectancy. Recent studies have found longer telomeres to be positively correlated with shorter life expectancy (and vice versa - again, we really don't understand their role in ageing completely). Telomeres are only one piece of the puzzle, and simply havi…
