It’s not fake. Tourists do it all the time at Windsor and Buckingham. Those guys look silly in the bearskin hats but they are tough as fuck and those rifles are live, loaded and legal to use. They don’t fuck about. If it were fake (isn’t because of building behind) then it’s a crime to impersonate them.

It comes from “you can’t win them” local dialect and accent has shifted the sound of the phrase.

It’s also racism of low expectations. Giving people of colour a lower bar is a prejudice in itself. Lower education levels in community’s with the same opportunity is a cultural problem, it’s literally frowned upon to do well in those communities. It’s the Carlton effect (From Fresh Prince). It’s considered white to succeed. The Asian and West Indian community have not adopted this mode and are performing perfectly well. ( maximal Harvard and other high college submissions and even a president)

It’s a misleading title. She bought the ticket while married. Because of marriage law it was they that bought the ticket, they won. So the winnings have been added to the marriage pool to split up under the divorce.

1050’s? Voting? The women got the right to vote in 1918, the same year the men who didn’t own land did. By 1928 it was all square. By 1950 that was old news.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
