I don't know if you should ditch punctuation all together, but what I have found to work is to end questions with exclamation marks instead. It's still a question, but it just gives a more entertaining vibe. Depends on the question however, it doesn't work on everything!

I'm short, taller than you but short in general. I have never been called short though, and generally I do not think about it. Just do whatever you feel like doing, but remember that it will probably look ridiculous if you're hitting on a 6'4" woman that is wearing heels.
