By consistently sending this "girl" money for literally anything she wanted. "Babe I need money for my car payment" (cue him sending her $1000 on paypal)

He worked in the oil fields and made good money for a number of years. Met some girl on Facebook and hit it off with her. Months and months passed and he continued to brag about how wonderful she was throughout, but he also mentioned just how hard it was to schedule a time to talk to her on the phone. Or he would mention how he offered to fly her out and she always had an excuse. When they did talk on the phone, it was insanely awkward. To an outsider, it was entirely obvious that the person on …

I once had a buddy who allowed himself to he catfished out of nearly $50k by a girl like this (who was never even a girl at all). Some dudes are just retarded when it comes to pussy.

Without additional context of who Lizzo is or details of her past, I would agree with you. But if you summarize her character and her brand of activism (that is always 100% female centered regardless of the topic), it certainly is, because she is again always propositioning EVERYTHING she does as a form of female empowerment, this included.

The shame and guilt. The United States may be 40% obese but we're still very judgemental about it as a society, ill give them that. What i don't like is the fact that these movements are almost exclusive to women's issues and in practice only give young impressionable girls the idea that being and staying obese is okay. Its a whole ploy to combat very real toxic beauty standards that ultimately plays out just as toxic, but in a different way. (Aka modern activism) My position for clarity: its pr…

She says she likes that the movement has gone popular. She then goes on to complain that all the attention of the body positivity movement is not focused specifically on fat, black girls that look just like her. I don't think she knows what she believes at this point, she just wants to talk.

Her argument is all over the place. I won't even bother trying to decipher what she means, ill just leave the original link here https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-54292412 However if you check other sources for the same interview, you may be able to understand her point better. From what I gather, she is simply playing semantics between calling it body positivity and body normative. A distinction that is real but neither addresses the reality of "normalizing" bad health. https://www.bu…

Before she went mainstream, I enjoyed her style, her activism, and some of her music. But of course, time, fame and ego got to her and she's borderline insufferable anymore. The postmates story was the final straw that both made me laugh and begin to thoroughly dislike her. Article for those interested. https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/lizzo-sued-after-ordering-food-delivery-in-boston-postmates/2002785/ Ill say I appreciate her apology but I still don't think she understands the gravity of b…

Unpopular opinion here but why the fuck does anybody even follow these types of women in the first place? Keep these people off your socials, they're incredibly easy to spot.
