Yeah I had a thread about this before It goes beyond attraction too: basic respect is higher if you have manly traits or toxic traits. They look at you like you are weak, unassertive, or compromised if you take women seriously and are willing to defer to them.

I'm not looking for respect. I'm just surprised at the disrespect they throw at me.

Yeah. I agree

I understand it from a disrespect standpoint. What I'm trying to get it is... I'm not saying I should be a bad person to women. But what should I do when just being s decent fucking person leads some of them to think I'm weak? Is it an appearance thing? I have a really deep voice and serious/resting bitch face for a guy, so people are surprised when I'm not a sociopathic piece of shit? And people take advantage?

Nah I already know this. I don't do it for virtue or anything. I was just hung up on... even just being a decent person (like, not tuning out a woman when she speaks or trusting her to make the right decision). That's what I probably should have focused on. That's what bothers me. What do you think of that?

I brought it up because it has a large userbase

Even then, they'll eventually lose respect for them for being tamed in the first place. They'll like the dynamic at first, but eventually resent the man for being controlled later on.

Nah I know this stuff 😭 I'm not talking about being pushover. I'm talking basic decency coming back to haunt you.

I know about them and that they are on Lipstick Alley. I was mostly talking about fds. They are all pieces of shit of course .

I made sure the post was more constructive. I'm not some redpiller etc. This lost is just based on what I've experienced, seen, and what that study confirms. And again, it's not just dating, it's even just basic social interactions that I see this play out. And it bothers me because I genuinely care, but I don't want it be burned doing the right thing.

No need to single out black women. A lot of the chicks on FDS are mostly likely white: there's little subreddit crossover with other black women oriented subreddits

But this isn't nice guy paranoia. I'm talking like, you are actually doing something genuine. Read the 2nd paragraph of the anecdote section again

I don't get why women online are loath to understand this. They say it's because "men are insecure" or because "femininity is deemed inferior" when in reality, it's because guys know it can bite you in the end with getting chicks

I mean I just hate that actually taking what they seriously about anything can make you look stupid. That's my issue. Because then I don't know what to believe. Why empathize with someone who looks down me for actually taking them seriously? Not just lose attraction, but actively think your incompetent or weak for taking a woman seriously?

I mean I empathize with a lot of what they are talk about. I don't 100% agree with everything that is said, but some of their core tenets and overall feelings i can get.

My complaint goes beyond dating. It's how you are made to be an idiot for even being a good person sometimes. That's what bothers me the most.

Yeah I know. I just hate how it intersects with basic human dignity.

There hasn't been as much tests on this exact subject other than that 1 study

But what makes this annoying is that it's not just dating. It's even just... treating them with respect. Again, that decision making example I brought up (2nd paragraph of the anecdotes section)... shit like that is not even Disney propaganda. It's basic equal rights that they are punishing me for.

Honestly, it might not even be biology in a "we're hardwired to act this way" sense. It might be more of a "we act this way because we are because we are biologically different". This sounds similar, but let me explain: So I guess some of these women, when they see a tall man with a deep voice, they expect him to take charge and use his voice and height to command and make decisions. So they get confused and underwhelmed when he listens to a woman. You see it play out even in relationships. Ther…

My issue is not even about the confidence/pensive thing. It's that taking them seriously can lead to a loss of respect or even ridicule - and not just in dating. Even with friendships, or regular family relationships.

It's all about value Men are more likely to take risks or engage in aggressive behavior to secure status and make sure they have social value. Especially if they are poor. As one other person said, women don't need to do this, at best they can get married off, or at worst, be a stripper/prostitute. And when you combine that with how men are given less care even as toddlers, it can be a breeding ground for violent or criminal sociopathic behaviors

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
