Considering that boys are a lot more likely to be into gaming than girls, they're also more affected by it. Also, since you're only 20, you missed the 80s/90s phase. During these 1.5 decades, gaming became more and more prevalent, but was mostly a boy's hobby. That's because video games went from being marketed to families to only boys around this time.

Lady person here, I would have to agree in the context of ltrs. What's the point of investing time, energy, etc in someone romantically if they don't treat you a little more special than everyone else?
