Not lately, but this is a great thought. I can relate to what you're saying about planning for the future and daily stresses taking away from being in the moment and enjoying those things that made us fall in love in the first place. I need to be more mindful this way! Thank you!!!

Oh, I love them - I started with a few, and now have 24 beautiful hens. They are very entertaining, sweet, and productive creatures. Along with giving us wayyy more eggs than we need (we sell some & it pays for their fancy organic/non-GMO feed plus their other needs), they are great at scratching up / clearing new garden areas to plant, and eating lots of ticks, beetles, and other nasties while they're out roaming. Some work required, but they are definitely worth it!

This is the reaction I had to the story also, seeing it elsewhere on the internet. I was seething with rage that someone could be so careless with the very lives they are supposed to protect and nurture. Even worse, and a bit frightening that I saw reactions opposite of this (Facebook)... I just cannot understand how someone would subject their children to this intentionally. You are so right in calling it what it is... derangement and narcissism.

People don't care how good of an obedient little worker bee you are. You don't sit your grandkids on your lap and tell them the story of how you got your degree or promotion at work. So true. Thank you!

I know prob no one noticed, but I'm going to apologize for being flaky anyway - there's been a lot going on leading to my lurking instead of posting. I have so much to be grateful for - I want to share & chime in! My husband had kind of a stressful couple of months. He was looking for a different position to meet some of his financial goals and interviewed with a number of startup companies. In the end, he decided that a higher stress job requiring long hours and lots of travel wasn't really con…

The article on feminine voice is sticking with me since I saw your post earlier... Something I'm going to try to be more aware of. Thank you for posting that!

It's interesting you ladies say that... We also came to that first conclusion... Character has been sterilized to be more socially palatable, got to ep 8 and still haven't seen the rest... The other thing that occurred to me while watching, is that they're trying to set up a lot of background info in a short amount of time to move onto the next series, for which they chose the most expedient route over quality storytelling... And it shows!

Crabs in a bucket is right! I look forward to the day when the types of women drawn to this movement because it makes them feel powerful realize their true power is in self-ownership and self-determination, instead of associating with the vicious, hypocritical hivemind that is Third Wave. If they keep going at this clip, there'll be a lot more coming out of it sooner than later, sick of being shredded for their dissent.

My thoughts on this "strike" are pretty in line with yours. Thank you for posting. My two cents... And this will come across as real bitchy / ranty, I'm sure, but my patience with this kind of thing is currently at zero: I find it totally silly, because on the one hand, isn't the point of striking to compel an employer or labor group to agree to different terms? What are the terms? Not working to show commitment to “equity, justice, and human rights of women and all gender-oppressed people throu…

Good: All is well. Happy husband! He is so wonderful to me, I just can't help spoiling him. Business is looking up, and I'm enjoying building it. Looking forward to springtime and getting started on my massive landscaping plans for our property. I found an awesome deal on Redbud trees and old fashioned lilacs, two of my favorites. Bad: I am so over winter. It's much better where we live now because it's mostly rain instead of snow and ice, but nevertheless, dreary and demotivating. I need to get…

It warms my heart every time I hear someone talk about him - It's difficult to be someone who doesn't take any shit, yet nobody has a bad thing to say about you..yet he does it effortlessly. This resonates with me a whole lot. Sounds like a man of integrity - they can be hard to come by nowadays, he's a keeper for sure.

So many things make him amazing... The things I appreciate the most: He's not about the big romantic gestures. He shows that he loves and appreciates me in little ways, every day. When he wakes up before me, He shuts off my alarm and wakes me up by bringing me coffee in bed. He always compliments my cooking, even when I think it didn't turn out perfectly. He looks for ways for both of us to improve, and works on himself without being asked. It inspires me to be better. He is a solver of problems…

Thank you, TempestTcup! ❤ I was worried I might be oversharing, but I feel like maybe someone in a similar position might see it and feel more comfortable considering a different path. I'm so glad we went for it!

"If we see ambition as a sort of energy that gives life and vigor to one’s projects, then it’s easy to see how that ambition can be channeled in different ways. We might dam it up into one specific arena—a career, for instance—or we can let it flow into various avenues and pathways." This resonates with me, so much!! Great find with this article, tintedlipbalm! Career-focused vs family-focused is a choice I made this year. My thoughts on this... May be a little long, but I do want to share: I us…

Hello, all! Also a longtime lurker. I became interested in RP philosophy when I joined reddit some years ago and lurked TRP & Redpillwomen at first. Subscribed to this sub as well, when I got married earlier this year. Me, right quick: 29, raised by a great Dad (who beat the family court system), was a "wild thing" in my teen-early 20's, did the corporate thing for a while but didn't really find it satisfying. I'm now self-employed, extremely happily married to the man of my dreams, living on ou…
