Awesome. Great input.

That could be the case. Regardless, everybody wins. Free trip to LA, all expenses paid is AT MOST, the worst case scenario. Plus, the case is legally settled and can't ever be used against you again.

Yeah, but it can be both. Thats the beauty of it. Its both law AND show. Its all win.

But, you also get a flat fee, airfare, a 4 star room, and per diem. So WORST case is an all expense paid trip to LA with spending cash. AND maybe $5k richer.

This person gets it!

You are right. JJ is arbitration.

1,000,000,000%, yes! They are dying for good cases. Every single person that appears on a court TV show benefits. Its great. Its win win win win win. Everybody wins. Edit:, but like I said in an earlier post, the only requirement is that you have to do your best to win, and if you lose you have to act sad/ pissed off. Meanwhile, everyone is laughing all the way to the bank!!

Exactly. Paying a $500 and $2,500, and max $5,000 settlement is irrelevant to them. Its a rounding error. But that's good! JJ is honest. She's not holding back in order to reduce expenses. In fact, I suspect her favorite is when she gets to hand out the max $5k settlements. Boom! You get $5k. And you get $5k! Fuck it! Its meaningless.

Right?!? They're all like "it's not a real court!". Um, yeah. I agree. We all agree. Instead, it's legally binding arbitration that is 1) televised, 2) binding, 3) the flipping arbiter pays all bills and settlements and you get a free trip to LA!

Nothing in this article refutes my point. In fact, it strengthens it. Yes, its all one big TV show. And yes, everybody wins.

Next time I go to arbitration, if I don't like the result, I'll just sue under contract law. That should work! Thanks!

You are wrong. ALL of the court tv show participants agree that the matter at hand is binding. Its just fancy, televised, arbitration where the arbitrator pays all the bills. It is 100% legally binding. Just like court. Just like an arbitrator.

No. No he could not. The judge Judy show is binding. And, judge Judy pays on your behalf. It is final. It IS binding.

Plus, the Judge Judy program pays the settlement! Everybody wins.

No, no they have not.

Omg, yes it is. You forfeit your right to sue in real life. And whatever judgement is reached, the Judge Judy program pays!

Uh, it is. You sign away your rights to sue for real and the judge Judy program pays what ever decision she reaches. In real life, you can not lose by going on the program. Everybody wins.

Not true. The TV show pays a flat fee AND the judgement, and travel and room, and per diem. Its win win win for all parties. The only stipulation is you have to pretend to be mad if you "lose"

I wouldn't doubt for a minute if she was raped and mentally abused. HOWEVER, these days I pretty much dismiss it as fraud when the story is "I don't like my contract and I want out... and BTW, I have no proof and I never told anyone, but you raped me 9 years ago" To that, I say fuck off
