Switch that to a pipe and I think you’d get clowned pretty hard

This answer is just wrong - smoking a tobacco pipe is going to be seen as trying too hard and cringe as hell, even among people who ingest nicotine regularly.

This is the answer

You can feel like you’re intellectually connecting with another person, while in reality that’s their baseline for interactions with others. Dudes have one conversation with me and think they’re in love, solely because I’m cool to talk to. Makes me believe guys meet very few people that they’re both physically and intellectually attracted to.

“I always go for it no matter the signals” - that may be a problem lol

My guess is that you read the vibe wrong. When I was dating, one common phenomenon I noticed was that guys thought we had some unique intellectual connection - we didn’t. I’m just cool to talk to. I think it was rare for those guys to meet women they vibed with, while for me, I didn’t have an issue vibing with anyone. Interactions that were small and normal for me, were huge and world shaking for a lot of guys.

Dudes act the same way with women who treat them like that as well.

Im basically 30 and married. When I was 21-24 anyone over 30 was a strong NO. If someone much older than me was interested, I thought they had something wrong with them or that they were a pervert. I had famous people slide in my DM’s over the years, and I assumed they had a screw loose or were desperate if they were coming to me, a random girl in her 20s. Even to this day I’ve still never been with anyone over the age of 27 - my husband is 27.

In my early 20s, I laughed in the faces of any man in their 40s who would hit on me.

Why don’t you just have sex with a woman whose personality and energy you find appealing? Why is this entirely based on appearance?
/r/seduction24/07/25 04:08 PM

The issue isn’t anyone’s race unless they’re dealing with idiot racists, and who wants to deal with them? It’s purely a looks thing. If you’re hot, women will generally be fine with you approaching them, even if they turn you down.
/r/seduction20/07/25 06:20 PM

It’s not about race - you’re only going to get good results if you’re good looking, and even then you’ll get turned down more often than not, unless you’re ridiculously good looking.

I’m nearly 30, and when I talk to 20 year olds, they seem like children to me. Your mom is shocked that a man over 30 saw you as anything but a child, as that suggests either major immaturity or negative intent.

… please read up on female anatomy. Two fingers is basically a tampon and some change. Do you think women are just incapable of using tampons until they have sex? You are kind of dumb bro. Very few people have a complete in tact hymen, like at any point in their lives. A body part that is able to stretch to the size of a baby’s shoulders and go back to normal will not be affected by two fingers. You’ve been led astray by misogynistic idiocy, and you went onto a subreddit of misogynistic idiots g…

Personally, none of them are memorable to me. I assume if a guy is willing to come up to me, a total stranger, in public, he’s doing this to tons of women, and it comes across as desperate and thirsty.

Have enough self awareness and social awareness to know when cold approaching a stranger is going to potentially pay off. Don’t talk to women or compliment them with a goal in mind - just do it to do it.

Probably, but I doubt it’ll work. That is more likely to make them uncomfortable, and depending on their age they may still give it to you purely out of a sense of obligation and feeling awkward. I’m nearly 30 and I still feel like a jerk when I shut down dudes who approach me, all I say is “ooh sorry I’m married”

She got her pants off then said no. She was going with the flow and then stood up for herself. Pressure isn’t necessarily a negative thing or something he was doing wrong. It’s just the tendency to go with the flow socially, something I definitely felt compelled to do when I was younger.

She’s young with a million options and she didnt vibe with the real you as much as she did the texting version of you, so she moved on. Regretfully, I used to be 21 and accidentally did this to a lot of dudes.

People saying hi to you at an EDM show does not mean they’re interested in you. Just an fyi. People are rolling and friendly. It doesn’t mean there’s an attraction or romantic interest

Nothing she did is justified - but it needs to be explained in order to be prevented and detected in other situations. But - just an fyi - you can empathize with every human being on planet earth - even the bad guys. It’s not a bad thing. Try it one day. Understanding the motivations of people who think differently than you is an asset, not a moral failing, goofy.

Sympathy isn’t coming from her gender, it’s coming from an analysis of the overall circumstances. I feel really sad watching some episodes of TCAP where it’s clear the man in question was replying to literally any human being that would give them the time of day. Sad shit. Use the dating apps for conversations with women. Don’t expect them to necessarily lead to actual relationships or even physical dates, but just use them to browse what’s out there and have some good conversations. I think just talking to new people is super helpful post breakup, you are missing a large social component of your life so this kinda helps fill the hole lol
/r/seduction02/07/22 05:16 AM
2

After a long relationship, you’re too caught up in the old relationship patterns and dynamics, so anything that veers off what you’re comfortable with feels especially glaring and unappealing.
/r/seduction01/07/22 06:25 PM
2

Don’t ask her what’s wrong with her, ask what you can do to better support her in becoming more physically comfortable with you. She sounds like a good person and y’all seem to have a good thing going. And just an fyi, a lot of women refuse to speak about being sexually abused out of shame and fear of being left. If she isn’t comfortable kissing you do you think she’d be comfortable sharing a horrific personal story with you?
/r/seduction01/07/22 05:53 PM
2

I don’t know how often y’all have discussed her intimacy issues or how deep these talks have gotten. But I think you need to emphasize the fact that you want physical intimacy with HER, and not just physical intimacy when the discussion arises. I think the focus needs to be on her feelings and both of you arriving at the source of her discomfort. Until you guys both know why she is so uncomfortable, it is going to be hard to determine how to get on the path to growth and healing. So in practical…

You need to ignore the rest of the advice on here and just communicate with your girl. This is a very individual specific issue you’re facing here, and the best route is to talk to her about how to develop a practical path to intimacy that isn’t just you waiting around for her to be okay. And fyi - if you do not feel comfortable having this conversation with someone you are so close to, this may not be the relationship for you.

I think the best thing is to stop imagining a future partner. It’s okay to have standards, but no one fits into a box and you may be closing yourself off to experiences that may suit you. I’d say spend the next spurt of your life focusing on having fun, making friends, and seeing where things go from there. You just had a four year, happy relationship. You can do it again, and now you’re even more self aware, so it’ll be even better.

I’m going to be real, if someone comes up to me and asks me out, my brain totally freezes. I don’t really know how to respond and I just nervously spit out “sure man.” By that point it’s too late for me to say, “just kidding I’m very socially awkward and consistently fail at communicating in the moment, I have no interest in going out with you.” So then I end up giving him my number and probably not responding if he texts me. I definitely need to learn to grow in being able to speak up for mysel…

You don’t have to play the game, and as a woman I find it incredibly refreshing to meet a man who doesn’t put a lot of thought into finding sexual partners. I think you should prioritize your general happiness and self growth before chasing girls, especially only a month out of a 4 year relationship. This is the perfect situation to use dating apps - they exist primarily for conversation and just getting yourself out there. Keep your expectations low and you will be surprised at what you may get…

When men approach me in public, I feel pressured to be kind and share my number with them. I’m an awkward person with limited social exposure, so I don’t really shy away from a friendly person and a nice conversation, but that doesn’t mean I’m genuinely interested. While cold approaching isn’t the worst thing in the world, you’re going to get ghosted or ignored 95% of the time, and it’s no reflection on your quality as a human being.
/r/seduction01/07/22 02:48 PM

You should have sealed the deal on the first or second date. If a guy doesn’t make a move on the first date, I assume he isn’t interested. And just an fyi, I find it incredibly attractive when a man asks me “is it okay if I kiss you?” after we have been vibing and enjoying each other’s company. I don’t think she was telling you the whole story when she said she didn’t feel a romantic connection. I think it’s more likely she was also dating other people and the same time and someone else took the…

How often do y’all see each other? Can’t really answer without knowing the amount of regular physical proximity. This could go many different ways, but if everything is on the level and she genuinely likes you romantically, this sounds like a trauma response or the result of religious shame. I think you need to have a direct conversation about physical expectations, and if they don’t seem like they have the potential to line up, y’all should just stay friends.

Women don’t take dating apps seriously. When I used to have them it was me swiping for a bit, then coming back to tons of messages. It was overwhelming and near impossible for me to read all of the messages and reply in a decent way. It was never intended to be rude and it wasn’t because I didn’t see potential in the guy - there just aren’t enough hours in the day.

The only thing that catches my attention on a dating app is a prompt that requires me to share my opinion about something interesting. The best tinder conversations I’ve ever had have been about missing persons cases and conspiracy theories and often started off with just common philosophical questions. So after writing this out, this is my best advice. First message - compliment. Second message - interesting philosophical question, super cool discussion-starting fact, etc. (but like send them b…

I’m a 26 year old woman in the US, and living with parents is not a turn off unless there is zero ambition or work ethic in the mix. It’s a smart decision and means you’re likely attempting to save up money for a house. I meant to reply to someone else’s comment, but I’m kinda in the same boat as you financially, and I can guarantee it’s a massive part of why I’m currently so socially deprived and depressed.
