Or maybe he's gay. In fact, I would bet that most leading men in Hollywood are gay. Most guys who do theater in high school are gay. Why would it suddenly change when they grow up and start trying to act professionally? But they have to pretend to be straight because their money comes from women who want to fantasize about them being a romantic lead. There are tens of thousands of people in LA right now trying to be actors. Any casting call gets for any part gets thousands of people to sift thro…

Go watch a David Attenborough documentary if you doubt that behaviors like this can be encoded in genes. Try Life of Birds, the mating episode. Basically all of our mating behavior exists in other animals in more basic forms. You'll see birds arranging flowers and nuts into complicated designs to attract mates (art). You'll see birds competing for who can sing the best to attract mates (music). You'll see birds competing for who can hop the highest to attract mates (sports). You'll see birds fig…

She's also having a hilarious breakdown on her Twitter about how her article was linked here. Complete with "ALL THE FACEPALMS!!!" Acts like an overgrown teenager, talks like an overgrown teenager, obsessed with the relationships of overgrown teenagers... And complains that she's being cited as confirmation of the theory that women are mostly overgrown teenagers.

There isn't really an "official" anything here. It's a bunch of guys sharing data, anecdotes, and opinions for the same common general purpose: how to improve their romantic prospects with women. People tend to converge on opinions on things after lots of debate, but that's more of a consensus than an official purpose. And people's precise goals on here aren't always the same. Some want to fuck more, some want a better marriage, some want serial relationships.

The average guy would do the exact same shit. If an extremely hot woman were messaging a bunch of guys saying "Take me to a nice restaurant and spend $200 on my dinner" and then dumped all over them, the vast majority would put up with it to try to get in their pants, too. Most men will put up with insanely bitchy behavior from a beautiful woman if they think they've got a shot with them (hey, I've done it, too). You don't have to hate women for it, just don't believe them when they pretend they…

Somebody's defensive. You can always tell who hates their own lives by how aggressively they try to shit all over anyone who wants to live theirs differently. If you were really happy with your kids, you wouldn't give a shit if someone else didn't want them.

Quit being dense. No one is saying you can 100% predict how someone is going to behave in the future, they're saying you can give pretty good odds. If you want to bet on trusting a drug addict when 95+% of them don't recover, go to town, but you're stupid for doing so. If you want to take someone back who's cheated on you and say "well, I can't 100% predict that she's changed, so I guess I should just assume she has and won't do it again" - well, have fun, but don't sit here and try to tell me t…

90% of these guys are leeches who don't offer you anything. They charge ridiculous management fees and they push you towards products that give them the highest fees. And yes, the reason most people use financial managers is because they're stupid fucks when it comes to money. I know tons of highly paid and otherwise intelligent professionals who use financial advisers, and uniformly the reason is that they don't understand even the basics of investing. Anyone who did wouldn't use a financial ad…

Paying for a gym membership isn't game, it's a transaction. Paying for Match.com means anyone you meet on there can't be from game, it's a transaction. The point isn't that he gamed the prostitute. It's that he used the prostitute to game his wife.

"What I was trying to convey was that the trauma she might endure by being brought up in a very negative and dysfunctional marriage might be worse than the trauma of divorce." I was getting ready to respond with just this. I was raised in a household like this and I wish my Dad had found the balls to divorce about a decade sooner than they actually did. They started having problems at a similar age as where you're at (I was around 5). What I don't think people with the "I'm staying together for …

Read his posts lower down in the thread, he's doing his best to rationalize his way back into a relationship with her because they already bought a house together.
