I agree but most people on here and other forums talking about their dating failures, are predominately using OLD. Which, looking at the results leads to failure for almost all of the people using the platform (except same-sex couples) with a few exceptions. People will have more success staying with people they meet in IRL if they dare to do it.

A couple doesn't equate long-term by the way. Only 12% measly percent out of millions end up in a long-term relationship by using OLD. PEW research, only 12% actually end up with someone in a relationship. Then add on these studies including both straight and gay couples. a LOT of people using OLD are seeking same-sex relationships, which also throws off your numbers. Women have never benefitted from marriage except financially. In the past, they were nothing more than servants to their families and had no life outside of their homes. Now that they can take care of themselves more and more are going to choose to be single. Marriage has always benefitted men and still does, women should be the ones going their own way and not looking back. You don't have to eat healthily all the time, this is baloney. This false belief drives me nuts and gives people terrible advice on how to keep weight off. You just have to eat within your calorie range and not overeat. Stop snacking for one thing is a big help. You can eat very healthy, perfectly and still gain weight if you overeat on your calories.

I lift weights and 5'7, 2000 calories is my maintenance (actually about 2200) and can eat more than that and still not gain weight. Muscle speeds up your metabolism like nothing else. You just have to find what works for you. I would be a bean pole at 1500 calories.

I eat pizza and drink beer. Size 6, sometimes 4 if I lose my appetite or just want to lose a few pounds. You just don't eat too many calories daily and yes lift weights. Also, very little to no snacking. I'm also middle age so BS on its not possible after middle age. You can stay thin and still eat foods you like but you do need to have some self control and be active.

nah...he all the time would ALWAYS tell women they would end up alone with their cats. I don't think he was talking about cancer. Do you honestly think he meant cancer and diseases? It is worse IMO that news came out he died with one nightstand in his room. A twice-divorced man, whose mother & police had to report him dead, after being found with a one night stand. Yep...and don't care one bit to die alone if that is how it is defined. I worked in a retirment home as my first job. Plenty and I mean a lot of people die alone, with tons of kids. Their kids even refuse to see them when you call and tell them their parent is very ill. Having kids in no way means they will take care of you or even care about you. Pure projection. Men are afraid to die alone, that is the truth. there are PEW research studies that back up middle-age women and older, prefer to never date again and never marry or cohabit again. My mom who lives in a retirement village, the women will laugh, a hard laugh if you ask them if they would ever marry again. Men, however, are still trying to date and even marry at 70 freaking years old.

I've lived in all of those places you listed plus more. Europe has fat people but not as many as us but that is slowly changing. They have way more fat people than they did lets says 10 years ago. Also the west coast in no way is even close to the South and Midwest when it comes to size.

People who say this type of dumb shit, aren't so apathetic when they are shitting their bed from bad health and they are so sick but can't die. People never talk about this but what leads up to death it pretty god-awful many times (you lose control of your body in any way you can imagine) and apathy is only spoken from the healthy. One of my nursing professors made a joke "its all good until you shit the bed" and there is a lot of truth to that.
