Being inconsistent will cause women and your peers to be unsure of your standing, it will invite a tonne of shit tests. As people will be trying to find where you stand in social ranking. Find a balance of qualities rather than polar stances.

From your description its going to be your game that's lacking, read the books suggested by u/rurpe and maybe consider doing a field report for a critique on where you're going wrong.

I would also recommend http://www.codeacademy.com for learning programming skills easily. That or https://www.duolingo.com for basic understanding in other languages. Both of them and KhanAcademy are great resources for self improvement.

Build skills and stretch your comfort zone. A simple but incredibly useful skill is learning a language. "everyone is treating me like a child" No, you are allowing them to treat you like a child. Stamp a foot. If you're right, hold you're ground. If you're wrong, do NOT SAY SORRY. Dissemble and fix the problem (it might be your own approach on the matter but never admit that.) Reading will only take you so far, you have your dad who is BP (according to you). Why not get involved with other guys…

This isn't /r/personalfinance but asking about how OP's managing his household is completely fair seeing as phrases like "I'm broke" "I don't make enough money" and "I bring up my concerns about our finances". I don't need to know where the money goes, it's obvious his wife spends it for him and lavishly at that. He needs to stop the way his wife treats him (his wallet) and start creating a better dynamic within his marriage. If he won't do that then having a child will only add years of child s…

You keep buffering off where all your money goes. At 100K a year you should easily be able to afford more than one child, plus savings. You really need to look at your expenses and manage them more sensibly. "everything down to me making excuses for her behaviour, the walking in a minefield, the narcissism, everything." If this is a fair description of your daily life at home you really need to step your foot down and get your household in control. This isn't indicative of a healthy relationship…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
