Good advice. I think you're right. She acted cold by text after that interaction, so I guess I'll go cold too. Nothing else to do. If she actually did detective work by checking the bar's IG page after seeing my story, then it says a lot about her interest level in me... It's high enough for her to do that. I run into her quite a bit, so maybe I'll turn things around. Sucks that she probably sees me as dishonest now, but time may fix that...

Take responsibility? It's not a horrendous lie. I realize it was cringe which is why I would like to recover from it. The morality of my lie is insignificant. I don't have to take responsibility for it lol

But why shouldn't I bring it up? You don't think my plan is smooth enough? I can steer the convo to the topic of live music then say: "You know that video I posted? That was actually from another night I went. I didn't take a video this time, but they had a different band this time"

But now her trust for me may be low. I guess if I act like it didn't happen she will at least wonder why I lied. But it seems like I was trying to get her attention with a fake story (which is true, but I don't want her to think that lol or she'll think i'm lying each time I share something). She probably checked the bar IG page to see if she could spot me, to see if I'm still with my gf or not. That's what I suspect.

First mistake is suggesting a 2nd date while on the 1st date.
