I am still new myself. I would suggest going for broke with something super bold, offensive, or fun. "Have you masturbated today?", "I saw you throwing up outside XYZ bar last night", "You will never believe what I just saw, a midget got mauled by a dog!". The point is, you're a busy man. They are either in or their out. Maybe's and dead-numbers in your phone book are a distraction.
