Call a cab? Get another friend who isn't wasted to come over and help her home? Maybe one of the drunk ride programs specifically tailored for situations like that? Hell, say to the girl "Maybe this isn't a good idea, how about waiting until you've sobered up?" Obviously the answers that involve a third party aren't going to guarantee that they get off scott-free for underage drinking, but as I say again, it sure beats the fuck out of being dead.

True. So it'll be interesting to see what, if anything, happens to the kids. The defendant mentioned in the article's other case was acquitted, so there's probably precedent now.

My grandparents had a photo of my chunky toddler cheeks watching a tub fill hanging in their bathroom. I'm freaking adorable in it, but I was always vaguely concerned that someone unfamiliar with the family would see it and report them for it.

From what I understand, both parties agree to a contract before the show that states that they agree to whatever arbitration she provides. Because of the nature of arbitration, her rulings aren't subject to court review and can't be appealed.

Their basic methodology is in attacking what they consider to be anything non-PC, but in manners so far beyond what could be considered reasonable that they've completely perverted any message they might have. They've essentially gone so far left that they came right back 'round the other end. Hence the 'militant' bit. I'm gonna be honest here. I believe the term for this is "workplace intimidation" and like with every form of bullying you need to make it known to superiors. You need to take this straight to your manager and HR immediately. Provide them with a timeline (when she started slipping in work, when she left early, when you had your confrontation, etc.). If it's going to be her word against yours, then you need to speak first and loudest.
