Thank you, and you're right about the monotony that comes along with being a SAHM-- my husband and I even started discussing this week what I can do as a side project so that I can find time away from the house/baby and work on some endeavor. We live on a farm with a lot of infrastructure already in place, so options are really broad both crop and animal wise, in addition to what we already have. I've been so excited just brainstorming!

26F, husband 26, SAHM, one kid 1F Health: Finished up my progesterone challenge and started my withdrawal bleed two days later! I'm so excited to feel like I'm making progress with my reproductive health, and hopeful for ovulation this cycle. My goal is to temp every morning once bleeding stops. Relationship: My biggest hurdle this week was my moodiness, possibly from the progesterone/PMS stuff, but of course that's no excuse. I acted bratty all day once last week, my husband called me out on it…

I absolutely agree with this, well said.

I only separate out bedding, which gets washed on Mondays. Other than that, I run diaper laundry every third day and try to do a load of normal laundry once daily on the other days. If there's not enough in the hamper to make it worth doing a load, I enjoy the day off from laundry!

It must've been tough to have made the decision to cut off your friends... But it can be a very freeing opportunity to start fresh and reflect on your life. Hopefully with things starting to go back to normal you will be able to make better friends.

I swear keeping the dining/kitchen table absolutely clear, plus a vase of flowers, is the most important thing for a calm home! Both my husband and I get stressed with a pile of mail or miscellaneous things on the table, so clearing it is the first thing I do every morning and again right before he gets home from work. Just doing that one task motivates me to organize the rest of the house.

I'm in the same boat as you. My inner thighs hate being shaved! I just started using the CeraVe SA lotion on days that I don't shave to exfoliate, based on advice from a friend. It's only been a week, but I'm noticing minor improvement.

Thank you! That's reassuring to hear!

I am able to get some self care into my day...my sweet daughter is great with keeping herself occupied, so I'm able to get a lot of chores done while she's awake and take some time for myself while she's napping. I actually feel like I'm managing all of my responsibilities well, it's my husband that I'm worried is getting burnt out! There's only so much I can do to lighten his load though, most of what he needs to get done is either too physically challenging for me, or can't be done with baby i…

25F, husband 26M, together 11 years, married 3, one child 1F, SAHM Marriage: My husband has SO much on his plate right now, so I'm really trying to do what I can to ease his load. This means that I've been helping him with chores around the farm after he gets home from work for a couple of hours, usually I will wear our baby in a carrier while we do this. I really enjoy spending this time with him and being productive, but I find myself getting frustrated with him when things take longer than ex…

25F, husband 26M, married 3 years, together 12 (high school sweethearts), 1 daughter (11 months), SAHM Most of this will be some background info for this week! Relationship: My husband and I, for the most part, have an awesome marriage. Having been together since we were 14, we've really been through a lot and matured together. We both push and inspire each other to be better people, and we've really grown into a good dynamic as a result. He's a traditionally masculine man... he works in the woo…

I really like this idea, and I think it would be a good way to get the sub more active again. My goals are to be able to take on more of the farm chores because my husband has a lot on his plate right now, continue tracking/working to regulate my cycle as we try to conceive baby #2, and focus on more deep cleaning tasks in a routine manner.

Yes, I have a nine month old and, in general, my house is as clean as it has always been. Of course there are days that the baby is being fussy and housekeeping gets pushed aside, but mostly I find that it's about having good habits in place and being disciplined. I sweep and mop our (small) home every day during her morning nap, and I work on food prep during her afternoon nap. I get other miscellaneous chores done while she is awake and occupied in her playpen or strapped onto me. I try to sta…

I just had my first baby about 8 months ago at age 24, after anxiously waiting like you for years with my husband. It's never too early to read and learn! Two books that I would recommend are "Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn" by Penny Simkin et al and "The Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy". I found it empowering to know so much about the process before actually beginning it. In addition to the suggestions of making sure you have healthy habits well established, I would also suggest…
