That was my childhood also. It looks fun, but my very earliest memories of my life involve walking in a dirt field and picking up rocks to remove them. I was maybe 3 years old. I learned early on that my value was equal to the amount of work I could preform every day. Being sick or broken bones meant nothing as long as I could stand and do something for 10 hours. I still get hung up on that issue yet today.

Mine cost me nearly a million dollars of assets in the loss of my business. She managed to piss it all away in 5 years. I left with a rusted pickup, a frying pan, and one end table. So, according to the newspaper article, the woman WAS arrested and the police are investigating. Now it does appear they do quote the relevant statute she was arrested under - Aggravated sexual assault of a child under 12, Sexual Assault, Punishment for sexual Assault, and Punishment for Aggravated sexual Assault. The statutes are written pretty gender neutral. So save your righteous indignation and pitchforks for a while.

I suppose it can vary clinic to clinic. But when I have to go to a urology appointment and a physical exam is needed, there are always 2 in the room during the exam. Sometimes it's a female, sometimes it's a male. My urologist is a male, but I've have been examined by his Nurse-Practitioner more than once. It matters very little to me.

Yes the pads need to be in contact with skin. NO you do not need to cut or remove clothing to put the pads on. As a medic, I won't waste time by removing clothing I don't need to. I can place pads simply by reaching up and/or down a shirt or blouse. And no we don't get overly concerned about the small amount of metal that MIGHT be in a bra. It IS capped. Law sets the percentage of income. What does need to happen IMO, is that the monthly payment needs to follow actual income far more closely. You make that 30,000,000 one year and only make 30,000 the next year, your obligation needs to reflect the loss of income. Not punish you by forcing you to choose to pay what you don't have or go to jail.

NFPA standard is 3 minimum. Manpower is always a problem for everyone. With a rural volunteer service you never know how many are going to show up. I've done calls were only two of us were in town. This is what the radio is for. Call for for more manpower and mutual aid. If you don't have tha manpower present to play safely, don't play. Otherwise it will bite you one day. The idea is everyone goes home safely. Disregarding safety is no way to work on very dangerous scenes.

You still don't really get how we work. Backdraft was pretty good movie, long on great effects. But very short on portraying accurate fire grounds work. The scenario you posit will not happen. Because no incident commander would ever allow a 2 person team to make entry on an active fire. And no FF ever runs around inside alone. I've trained dogs for years for hunting purposes and I've done basic obedience training for drug dogs. Those dogs ARE NOT trained to only attack men. The dogs won't differentiate be tween the sexes.
