Lithium. Lithium is the only thing that has been proven to actually stop suicide. It’s dirt cheap but it does require periodic bloodwork (not expensive) to make sure you aren’t getting too much. Regular doctors most likely won’t prescribe it. You will need to see a psychiatrist.

https://thelastpsychiatrist.com/2007/01/borderline.html Borderlines can be very alluring and intoxicating to be around. That’s not a good thing. The whole agreeing to go to therapy is 100% a ploy to play along nice so she doesn’t get abandoned. Some borderlines can and are violent. Some are quiet and sneaky as f*ck with mind games they play with everyone. Just get the hell out of the situation. Borderlines don’t play by the rules and anything goes if they feel threatened. She could sucker you in…

There is NO negotiating with a borderline. If you turn into Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde then you might be able to keep a borderline a little more in control for a bit but this isn’t an advisable path to go down. Borderlines walk all over weaker people and will be less hostile towards stronger ones. Don’t think that discussing divorce or separation will work because it won’t. They will weaponize whatever they can and before you know it you will have all kinds of crazy coming at you. Borderlines can’t hand…

Borderlines will never go peacefully. It can and most likely will escalate. They can’t handle abandonment or rejection because they have no internal sense of identity. A borderline that won’t accept their diagnosis and actively take treatment seriously is a ticking timebomb. The only way to “control” a borderline is to become a bigger, badder, and stronger monster than they are. You don’t want to go that route. Even after that, it will only be temporary until they find someone else to latch onto…

NO!!!!!!! whether or not she does have BPD, she has some of the classic signs. They are parasites and will attach to whatever/whoever is going to give them the best deal at that time. Run. Do not take her back. I understand the allure of BPDs. They can be almost drug-like in how they can pull you back in (and they are fully aware of it). Protect your daughters as much as possible. Her behavior and habits will 100% cause issues as they get older.

Stay strong dude. You are doing all the right things. Dealing with a borderline is a whole different situation. Been there, done that. When faced with abandonment they will always start the hunt for a new “host” to attach to so the Tinder browsing is to be expected. Their lack of identity allows them to mold themselves to become the perfect match to whatever dude is unlucky enough to be the next future victim.

Be careful with this. State laws all vary and you can end up in legal trouble over it. Look up your state laws then maybe consult with an attorney before doing anything. Spending a couple hundred bucks for a 1 hour consult can save you a lot in the long run.

This doesn’t really apply to that posting but one benefit to working for the federal government,…. the spouse cannot stay on the federal insurance plan once the divorce is finalized. Dependent kids yes, spouse no. Not sure for anyone else if it really costs much, if anything to carry the ex-spouse on the health plan.

In those all-party states there has to be consent by all parties involved for it to be admissible BUT there are exceptions when in comes down to expectation of privacy. People expect privacy in places like their home but out in public there is no expectation of privacy so in a situation like that it might be ok. I’m no lawyer so take anything I just said with a huge grain of salt. When in doubt, talk to a lawyer.

Hang in there. If you don’t think she will contest and fight you on anything you should be able to get it finalized fairly cheap. No court, just get the papers drawn up and signed. DIY is always an option. Depending on what state, you could do something like rocketlawyer.com for the required forms. As for the water damage on the RV, tarps and flex seal or silicone caulk are your new best friends in the short term 😀

Demanding text messages with your witnesses? Nope. Not getting them. Is he willing to pay an expert forensic analyst to extract all the data from your phone and verify authenticity? That attorney is gonna be paying thousands of dollars for the work. A decent digital forensics consultant will have hourly rates that rival a good attorney.

Nobody will ever knock you for paying bills. Sounds like you are doing the right thing.

Nope nope nope nope. Promptly open a new savings/checking account and start putting money in there, but leave some in your current account. The court system doesn’t like it when you cutoff your spouse 100% from funds. Get a lawyer consult asap. A 1 hour consultation for a couple hundred bucks right now can potentially save you a fortune in the long run. Sue you for money abuse? That’s funny. Wishful thinking.

As others already suggested, get the F out while you can. It sounds like she has symptoms of NPD. What makes divorcing someone with NPD so difficult is while they act and portray themselves as confident and in control, they actually have very frail egos. They will usually react very negatively and escalate the situation to the max when a spouse wants a divorce. If you are going to do it, start planning now and at least consult with a lawyer. Get your ducks in a row, especially money and anything…

Dang. I hope she is buying you out of the house so your name and credit isn’t on the hook for future payments.

Be careful. If there is one thing I’ve learned is that guys tend to gravitate towards the same type of woman over and over. Date but don’t get serious. When in doubt about the quality of a woman, the best way to find out is have a female friend meet her. For some mysterious reason women can read other women in the blink of an eye.

That is quite a raw deal. Is your name on the car title she is driving? Is she keeping the house after the divorce?

Stay the course. Lies will be spread. Dirty looks and gossip will persist….for a time. Don’t get involved with that drama or fight back. Crazy needs to be fed in order to maintain the stories and lies. The less you feed the beast, the weaker the beast becomes. If you look and behave like a good, sane, normal adult then everyone will see it as time goes on. Actions speak louder than words.

You are correct. Nothing you say or do will change them or “fix” them. These personality disorders are like a black hole. The more you feed them, the more they will suck out of you. Don’t know if you followed the Johnny Depp trial last year but this explanation by his Psychologist is pretty clear and concise. She covers BPD and HPD. It’s about 12 min long but very interesting https://youtu.be/Z42OrcLD8oQ

Welcome to the club man. I’ve been thru literal Hell dealing with BPD. I’m convinced that crazy is all around us, everywhere and at all times.

Google “Fairfax formula for spousal support”. It has traditional been used in Fairfax Va for calculating temporary spousal support but I believe a lot of states have taken to using it as well. Other factors come into play such as length of marriage and so on. 30% of the gross income of the payor(you) less 50% of the gross income of the payee(her) in cases with no minor children OR 28% of the gross income of the payor less 58% of the gross income of the payee in cases where the parties have minor…

Wow. This sounds like classic BPD (borderline personality disorder). I went thru similar stuff myself several years ago. They can be very manipulative and will use anything at their disposal to get what they want or need. They are like black holes. They will suck the very life out of you. BPD can be managed but it takes years of intensive treatment. Some of the best explanation of it came out during the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial last year. Please get your yourself and your daughter out of th…

Yeah there are plenty of apps for phones that act as keyloggers and will secretly send reports to whatever email account you want to use. iPhones were more difficult in the past because they required to be jailbroken. Maybe that has changed. Android phones are easy. Is this for catching your wife texting, sending pics, etc to other guys? This is crossing into dangerous legal territory. As tempting as it is to find a smoking gun on a phone or computer, if that device isn’t yours and there is a pas…
