Comfortable doesn't have to mean dowdy. Instead of wearing granny panties, choose cotton bikini panties with a cute print or feminine accent. Instead of going bare faced, wear bb cream and mascara. He may have another issue. If he has no depth perception or untreated ADHD he may struggle to drive well for the rest of his life. In addition, untreated astigmatism can also compromise driving. I wasn't ever a SJW, but I was a lukewarm feminist. But when I look back, I think I was just trying to follow the ideal of "Treat others like you would like to be treated" and "be nice." There is a short (2 minute) video from Jordan Peterson about this. Basically, when you watch television or read a book you are consuming patterns in art that were inspired by life and imitate it. I love the idea of boys and girls hanging out together to accomplish a "task." But I don't see why local groups can't agree to meet together for an event instead of merging. This is really just part of the erasure of gender. Also, a lot of the push for new badges really veers away from the core of either scouting program. It's primarily meant for practical outdoor skills and character building - for both boys and girls. Now it seems like a STEM career program and everything else is secondary.
