Hello, Yes I am overweight but I accounted for that when I was giving my answers. I've always been a funny looking women so the fact that my face and body are so different doesn't surprise me! I'm as sure as I objectively can be that I answered it correctly.

Cool post. I did the test. My body was easy, almost entirely E and one D. My face however was all over the place. I got C,B,C,D,C,B,A. So what does that make me?

I've seen this argument made before. This author and other people making it never seem to explain who will actually look after the children and where all these new child care workers are going to come from.

I feel like we need to know more. What do you hope to get out of this situation? Do you feel that your marriage is worth saving? Do you have children together? Do you feel your husband has been repentant about his actions and how they have hurt you? Do you know if he wants to stay in the marriage? Do you want to stay in the marriage? Have the two of you talked about where you want to go from here.

I know that sort of stuff goes on, but I think in this case that is probably a fake or a set up. She'd have to be really stupid to use a photograph where she is so clearly identifiable. It's not a typical 'sexy' hook-up app picture either, I have a gut feeling that's a random photo someone has added the text too. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I find that when people are dissecting elections one thing they often fail to notice is that candidates always do badly if they are too polished and saying what people want to hear. We now live in an age where we are bombarded with advertising and people trying to persuade us of one thing or another. I think people are getting very used to that, and they are increasingly good at detecting when someone is putting on a show. So when a politician like Trump comes on the scene, who speaks in a seemi…

This is an example of one of the things that really began to grind my gears while I was still reading feminist blogs and articles. It usually went like this. A prominent feminist, Women A takes an action. Somewhere online Feminist Women B takes issue with how this action is 'problematic' and declares they will no longer be supporting this women, not buying into their projects and products and so on. Women B may have a genuinely valid point, but their response which is effectively a shunning, is …

If you don't want these consequences then don't do things like that. It's not "everything falling apart to the detriment of women". That's women being detrimental to themselves. I can certainly see the truth in what you are saying here. At the same time I feel that a lot of vulnerable young women are finding themselves in society where there are no positive influences and that any young women who thinks differently finds herself swimming against the tide. When I was young I didn't drink and I di…

I tend to live by the rule of never assigning to malice what I can assign to stupidity. So I wouldn't assume they are doing it on purpose, I suspect it's more likely to be a failure in judgement.

My first impression on reading this was that her husband might not be coping with the pregnancy particularly well. It sounds to me that he is overly anxious about the situation and needs a bit of loving support. It doesn't help that there aren't really support structures for Dads. Mums have loads, online and in person, Dads have almost nothing. I thought she was wrong about the high heels and the coffee though. I'm sure when I was pregnant they made us swear off caffeine as it could cause a misc…

Is solipsism the result of female nature? Or is this a recent phenomenon? I think that everything we are as humans is affected by our gender to a greater or lesser degree, depending on the circumstances and on other factors. I think that all men and women are solipsistic, it just expresses itself differently between individuals. So no I wouldn't say it was the result of female nature, but a part of human nature. I think it's probably been part of human nature as long as we've been humans. Howeve…

I can't remember exactly from website to website how I found out about RP stuff but I found this particular sub not long after it was created. IIRC correctly the way I found out about RP stuff in general terms was from reading up on marriage. I found that the marriage advice I was being given was incredibly hostile, anti-male and lacked common sense. I wanted to find something that actually made sense and it was in the world of Christian blogs that I found that. I don't give myself political lab…

Reading this has exhausted me. u/proprioceptor has it right, this is a real case of "We want equality but not like this". Also in WW2 in Britain young women were drafted, often into quite dangerous roles. Not on the front lines, but in munitions factories, running farms and all sorts of other work that men had previously done. When your back is against the wall it's what you've got to do to survive, princess or not. I imagine that, heaven forbid, the USA were to face some sort of huge conflict l…

I think this is a really common thought process for a lot of people. I've noticed it with Brexit. Some pro-Remain commentators insist that those who voted Leave did it either because they didn't understand the information they were given, or that the information they were given was misleading. They don't seem to be able to handle the idea that people got the same information but have drawn a different conclusion.

What grates on me about the whole vulgar cross stitch thing is that people make an industry out of it, when you could create those patterns for free yourself. All most of the slogan ones are are letters and a few very basic flowers. You don't need to buy a book of vulgar patterns, just download a free alphabet and write whatever you want. It's annoying because I follow a lot of cross stitch feeds on instagram and the vulgar ones come up time and time again because they are 'edgy' I assume, when …

From what I can tell there is a schism between some feminists and the transgender community. While some are very supportive of the transgender community, others are hostile. They claim it's because trans women can't truly understand what it is to be women and could always regain their 'privilege' by transitioning back to being men. I've always suspected it's really because the existence of transgender people pretty much proves that the 'gender is a social construct' thing is baseless. If it were…

Apologies, I think I added this in the wrong way. Anyway this is currently showing in the UK. It's only a few seconds long but just in case you don't want to play it, here is a description. I've been keeping political things off of my Facebook for a while now because things got extremely hateful during campaign season - rather than deal with the pettiness and drama, I just dropped it. I think both posts have some valid points although there are some huge factual errors in the feminist response. We don't live in an equal society and we should of course work towards one. What gets me about though is this section. Many of the women in that march were educated middle class women and yet . . . You are still being abused by your husband, by your boyfriend. You’re still being murdered by your partners. Being beaten by your soulmate. You are still worse off if you are a woman of color…

Like others have said, I think you need to speak to him non judgementally and get to the bottom of what he is feeling without making assumptions. He might just be having a rough week. I think we all wish we could be doing something else in times of stress. I know I sometimes dream of running away to a small cottage by the seaside on my own! I don't really mean it of course, in reality I would be terribly lonely if I did that, it's just a passing thought.

I'm late to the party on this because I've been pondering it over since it was posted. I'm terrible at friendships, right now my only real friend is a female relative. I know that when she dies I'll be truly alone in terms of friends, which does worry me as I do need someone to talk to apart from my husband. For me this has largely happened because I live in an alcohol soaked culture and I can't, and don't want to, drink. It's almost impossible to socialise here as all socialising revolves aroun…

I think strictly speaking they haven't drawn themselves. From the style of the drawings it looks to me like there are only 2 artists producing these drawings, not each women doing her own drawing. Why they agreed to use them when they are so much thinner then their real selves is another matter. I find it frustrating trying to represent myself when I'm forced to use an avatar. I'm with Camille11325 on this one, I think the article has a lot of good points. I don't think the author is saying that women shouldn't work or be financially independent. I think what she is saying is that women are not taught to be part of a partnership and even to view that partnership as hostile. I think modern girls are taught some very confused and unhelpful ideas about life. I know I was. I got almost no advice about relationships and what I did get was mostly useless. When I was growing…

While I think there are a few people who deliberately try to sabotage others relationships, I think it's often more about an inability to see another's point of view. I've found that many people cannot conceive of other people having a happy relationship or marriage if their own is unhappy. They assume everyone else must be unhappy as well. There's also 'bitching as bonding' which seems to go on a lot. I've seen other women, and been guilty myself, of criticising our own SO's as part of bonding …

I don't think it's just external voices that do this, I think we sometimes do it to ourselves. I was chatting about this with an elderly female relative the other day who is my RP role model in many ways. She was saying that in her youth and early years of her marriage life was a struggle for most of the people she knew. She felt that they were so busy trying to feed themselves, cloth themselves and pay the rent, that they didn't have the mental time or space to be dissatisfied. There wasn't tim…

I remember about 10-15 years ago there was a British Indian women on TV who was a match-maker. She was highly criticised for insisting that the people she matched were from a similar social-economic background. She basically explained it with similar ideas as are found in this article and I can remember at the time thinking it was common sense and that her critics were wrong.

I think it's a very real condition. Many feminists believe that gender is a social construct, I don't. I think it's hard wired into us before birth. I think the majority of us are male or female, but that there are a small number of individuals who are at various points on this spectrum. As well of this, some individuals have a gender which doesn't correspond to their physical gender. In my experience of children they are very aware of their gender even from being very small. This isn't a fashio…

The thing that always annoys me about the attitude of people like Madonna is that they will always cry 'but men don't get treated this way'. I would argue that they do. When I see a man desperately clinging onto his 'youth' like Madonna is, I cringe just as hard. I cringe when I see a 50+ year old man with a 20 year old girl. I can't be the only person who feels that way surely? What also slightly irritates me is women who complain about the system after its benefitted them. Madonna seemed to ha…

Agreed. I've said this here before but in my opinion women who push their partners out of child rearing just make a rod for their own backs. My husband plays a vital role in my son's life and having him involved in both the fun stuff and in discipline is good for my son, but its good for me too. It's exhausting having to do everything and if I'd pushed him out totally and demanded to be in charge all the time, I would have put myself in that situation. I read this last night and agreed largely with the article. I don't understand why the hygge craze had to be co-opted into a bourgeois statement, to me it's just the concept of making a house a home, and comfortable togetherness overall (in another thread someone framed it brilliantly as repackaging domesticity). I liked how the article linked this with a missing sense of spirituality. In nostalgia, millennials look for lost tradition and genuine joy. In my view people who think Hygge is a bourg…

I'll be honest, nothing comes to mind for me on this. My husband is laid back and isn't particularly demanding and doesn't really do or ask for anything that I find challenging, so maybe that's part of it. I don't know if this counts, but I find travelling and going on holiday makes me anxious and I wouldn't do it if I was on my own, but my husband loves it so I take part too. That's more of a case of me countering my desires then my needs though. In that case I just get on with it and try to do…

Thanks for sharing this it was an interesting read. It definitely reminded me of what I saw in the working world, which was a lot of miserable women feeling stressed and pressured for no good reason. I also believe that most careers are not valuable in terms of the impact they make on the world. I think the article has some great points. I think part of the problem is that expectations seem to rise all the time. I'm getting towards my mid 30s now (oldish but not that old) and I've even seen in that time what people believe they need in order to be happy seems to have risen fairly dramatically. Of course it's impossible to keep up with all that and then people start to feel depressed or detached. I was talking to my Grandma the other day about our lifestyles and she said that if her moth…

Fortunately, I am naturally petite and have never had to worry about my own weight but take out and lazing on the couch has not been good for either of us. In my view there is not such a thing as naturally petite or thin or whatever. You are slim because you don't over eat, your husband is overweight because he does. If he is not a fan of working out, why not encourage him to do some other sort of activity that is fun exercise instead? Perhaps something with your children? Maybe you could also h…

The last picture reminded me of something that happened the other day. I saw a girl walking through our nearest city wearing a jumper with sheer tights on. The jumper barely covered her bottom, it was so short you couldn't even call it a mini dress. It genuinely looked like her skirt had fallen off. I though it was a one off but not 2 minutes later I saw a girl in a very similar outfit, so I guess thats a thing now.

Single women interested in marrying ASAP should make finding a man a top priority. I think this is a really important point. For some reason a lot of women seem to subscribe to the idea that 'it will just happen' or the right man will just magically come along, but it isn't like that. There have been some really frustrating articles in the media over here recently written by women in their 40's who are complaining that they are childless because the 'right man never came along'. What had me concerned is when she told me she was afraid of being judged or looked down upon. Sadly she's going to have to get used to that a bit. SAHM's are looked down upon in most Western societies these days. You've got to try and develop a thicker skin, which is easier said then done I know. It gets to us all at times and nobody likes criticism, but you've got to try and remember that ultimately what matters is what you think and do. The comments on this at the original site are 'interesting'. I think the author has hit the nail on the head here. The vast majority of women don't see themselves as being at war with men, they love men. One of the problems with feminism in my view is that many of the famous feminist voices in the media are highly privileged white women. It's incredibly hard to take it seriously when they complain about how they suffer because of patriarchy, when they are clearly among the most privileged people…

It was his dream. He's not a money driven person beyond getting our needs met, he is more interested in doing good things and in the details of the type of work he does. So it's more about that then a financial freedom thing. In the past we've discussed the possibility of him shutting it down and getting a regular job, but he doesn't want to do that if he doesn't have to. At the moment it's more practical for me to work for him then to get a job somewhere else, but that might not always be true.

That asymmetry says that you are getting more value out of the marriage (i.e., extracting value from him) than he is getting. Agreed, and I feel that a lot of what I do is just pissing in the wind in comparison to how he is feeling. If you look at it that way, his nihilism sounds pretty rational, doesn't it? It's completely rational and that is part of what worries me. My worry isn't that he feels weight. I do understand that he feels that sense of responsibility and how burdensome it must be. What worries me is that I don't feel anything like that, not even close. I love him, I love being married to him and he has improved my quality of life dramatically. I wouldn't have my life any other way. My worry is that if we both view the marriage so differently, if I see it as a joy and he sees it as a burden, how can we survive? How can a marriage survive when one p…

I suppose what bothers me is that you say this is 'what it is to be a man' and that is true, but he didn't need to get married or have children and have all this stress and responsibility. this isnt about YOU, its about "marriage" and if more men could honestly talk about their feelings with their wives without them getting up in arms about it fewer marriages would end in divorce and suicide. I feel like it is about me though because I'm the other half of the marriage. I'm the one he's married to, our marriage isn't separate from ourselves. So it's got to be me that is the problem here, surely? I feel that he is a great husband and I'm very happy in the marriage. He has just told …

You might want to try and get a copy of the book 'Taking Charge of your Fertility' by Toni Welschler. It's a good read generally to learn about how your body and fertility works, and it can be used to avoid pregnancy. Like anything else it isn't foolproof so be careful!

I think being cold to one another can turn into a downward spiral. As he is the low energy one at the moment, I think it will might help if you make the effort to be more affectionate and close the gap inbetween you. It depends on how he likes to receive affection, but for most people a loving hug and a smile can go a long way. I know you say he likes to initiate sex but, I have read somewhere (probably here), that men need to have sex in order to feel successful. If he feels that he isn't a suc…

First of all I would recommend that you try to calm yourself down. If you go into this being too hyped up and anxious you are going to come across as too high strung and over eager to please. I would suggest that you try to be as respectful as possible and join in as much as possible. Go along with the family traditions, even if they seem odd to you (every family has its own odd traditions in my experience). Find out whether or not you will be expected to take gifts. Follow all the usual rules o…

I might have complained about this before but her goes. It's my husband's birthday in a few weeks time. I had a really tight timeframe to be in the shops today so I only have a few minutes to browse the cards and I was looking specifically for 'Dear Husband' cards not generic birthday cards. I was disgusted by how many of the cards are cruel and make fun of men. For example one card was just words with no images. It said to the loveliest man in the world, but loveliest was scribbled in and 'luck…

You can learn lots of skills to have a good marriage but without a good foundation it will be always be a struggle. You have to pick the right person in the first place. I think you've got to have a list of qualities that you want, and not an airy fairy 'tall, dark, billionaire' type one. A real one that gets down to brass tacks. You've got to be sure that your partner is a good partner who knows that commitment takes work, and is willing to put the effort in.

I love how she cited that esteemed scientific publication Nickelodeon UK as part of her evidence of mens immaturity. I've got to admit though, as the mother of a son I totally do this. I say to him daily "Son, brush your teeth, wash behind your ears and when you go to bars just stand there like a lamppost and wait for a women to appear on your arm." It stems from a number of factors, but most prominently from the fact that men don't know what the hell they want from us. They want the virgin and …

I really love all the ways a poor attitude and inflated expectations can ruin what's supposed to be a special moment by virtue of what it is, not how it's done. I've seen posts on other parts of Reddit from men upset because their girlfriends have told them they did the proposal wrong. Often it's for entirely frivolous reasons, like they wanted the moment to be in front of an audience, or abroad or something like that. It's horrifying.

However I remind myself that he is a loving husband and father, and that I knew what I was getting myself in for when I married him. It's part of the package. Side question The something else I’m detailing here may in fact be a man’s genuine passion, but his impetus to engage (or over-engage) in it comes as a result of a need for escapism rather than genuine fervor for it. This is an important distinction because what formerly was a dynamic passion for a man can turn into an unrewarding refuge if his perception of it becomes one of escaping his reality. As a wife, how can you tell if you husband is working long hours because he loves and is dedicated …

One thing I would recommend is taking some time to write down all the things you do or want to do. Then have a think about what you can cut from this list. Personally I think many people over commit themselves, either to things outside the home or to goals which aren't really necessary. Taking the time to prioritise the things that are truly important to you and dropping the rest can make a huge difference.

Not to mention that sometimes your negative feelings are just a passing fancy or of the moment. Sometimes I've left things and found that a few days later I don't even care about the thing I was upset about - it was just of the moment. So it would have been pointless to fall out about it.

I read in a homemaking book about choosing a signature scent for your home and then sticking to it. So all your cleaning products and so on will have the same fragrance with maybe one or two accent fragrances. There are some really naturally ways you can do this, sachets of lavender are natural and a good alternative to candles. My husband isn't a jerk very often, so I'm lucky. He's a pretty laid back person so when he gets angry he nearly always has a legitimate reason to. So when he is legitimately angry I just listen and try to be supportive. If he's being snappy with me and it's unfair I still take the supportive approach and try to defuse the situation. He has such a mild temper that he always responds well to that.

I think they are grasping at things that are not there. When she gets praised she looks pleased and when she gets criticism she looks upset. That's pretty much it. I think her behaviour is to be expected given it's a competition and by it's very nature competitive people who want to do well enter. I personally think it depends on the man. Some men of 40 are set in their ways, prefer the single life and are not prepared to let a women into their life in a meaningful way. Others however feel the need to wait until they are established in life before forming a serious commitment to a women. Some men of 40 may also be coming out of failed relationships or marriages and looking for someone more suitable. So I think it depends on the man.

Women still think 12 years age difference is too great. I think a 40 year man and a 28 year old woman is NOT EVEN CLOSE to inappropriate but some people think so. I was told that 33-35 is a better match but whatever. Ignore the haters. People are really weird about this sort of thing. Unless it's a huge age gap, say 15+ years, you don't notice it. One of the lines of thinking brought out in this article really bugs me is the complaint frequently made in feminist leaning articles that men in their 20s and 30s don't want to settle down, so therefore single women in their 20s and 30s are doomed to be single for ever. I just don't understand what happened to the attitude where families work as a team. Why are people score keeping all the time? My Grandparents had a very successful marriage of over 50 years through some difficult economic times. At times only one of them could work, sometimes my Grandmother, sometimes my Grandfather. I've read the article twice now and I still don't really get what she is trying to say, I'm not even sure that she does. If I'm interpreting it correctly her premise seems to be that older women are expected to dress a certain way and are penalised socially if they don't and that this is bad. Mine is terrible and it's been worse since I was pregnant. I just try to be mindful about it, remind myself that part of the reason I'm feeling upset is because of my PMS and not because of an actual real life problem. I think there is good self esteem and harmful self esteem. Good self esteem helps you to look after yourself because you think you deserve it. Some of the most unhappy people who engage in self harming behaviours do so because they have low self esteem and don't believe they are worthy. It's an interesting blog post with some good points. I get frustrated with the whole 'He should love you as you are' messages women are given these days and how women are rarely held to account for their own behaviour and how it might make them appear to others. You might want to think about ways you can streamline your living so that there is less to pick up after. Hi sorry I didn't reply to you straight away I've been away. Its a very fine line between a naturally dominant man controlling the household finances and a man abusively preventing his wife from accessing any money whatsoever. I agree with you on this, the last point gave me pause. As well as what you said about people not wanting to change or hear that they are wrong, I think there is a huge cultural factor too. UPDATE I just want to thank you all for your advice and sharing your own experiences. I've taken away what you've all said and I'm looking at how to apply it. Thank you again.

I would also add treat your private live with the same seriousness that you treat your personal development, career based or otherwise. I've seen so many women who want marriage and children but for some reason they just coast on these ambitions and expect these things to fall into their laps or don't take the initiative when they should. If you wanted a particular job or degree you wouldn't expect that to 'just happen' for you or to magically occur. You know that you have to take the right cour…

I agree that masculinity is something that can't be negated. I also dislike the memes of which you speak. I appreciate that you are not saying that it's acceptable to hit someone but I think violence in relationships is terrible and I personally would take a long hard look at the character of the person doing the violence even if it was only once. On a side note it really makes me angry when women hit men and it's seen as acceptable. There was an episode of a TV show the other day where a women …

OK this is my little bit of advice. Don't get caught up in the hype. We are part of system that wants you to spend as much money as possible on as many things as possible. There will always be someone trying to persuade you that you need to buy a new skin cream, hair product, make-up item and that you need 3 products to do the job where one, or none, will do. Keep it simple Find 1 - 3 hairstyles that flatter you and you can do in a few minutes. For most people, longer hair is easier and cheaper …

Real men CAN hit women What do you mean by that? The denial of the reality of female fertility is one of the worst head in the sand aspects of modern feminism in my opinion. It's such a stupid and simplistic take on things and it's a denial of how hard it can be for some women to get pregnant and how hard pregnancy can be on your body which is worse when you are older. I appreciate that this is 'anecdata' but when I had my child I was part of a few mother and baby groups, most of whom had much o…

I'm hopeful that people will grow out of it, I think when you are young you tend to have a black and white way of thinking and you feel that there are only right or wrong answers to issues. In my experience most people start to soften once life has knocked them around a bit! I do find the non platforming of speakers at colleges to be super alarming though - in my view that isn't the point of academic places, they are supposed to be about debate and trying out different ways of seeing the world. …

I think what bugged me about the 'divorce shouldn't be stigmatised' comment is that it implies that these people just happened to find themselves in bad loveless marriages as if by magic, almost as if they were victims when in reality it was a series of bad in in some case selfish choices.

I'm sorry if it reads as petulant or childish, that wasn't my intention. I wasn't remotely upset and my posts were not written in a petulant frame of mind. It's very difficult in text based posts to get your tone across correctly. As far as I'm concerned this is how events transpired. Camille 11325 made this original post about the FSM post in which she said she and others in the community were unhappy about some of the comments on that post. No, I think there is a lot of wisdom in the redpill perspective and I've been applying that wisdom to my life and my observations of people around me. Being completely honest with you, I'm uncomfortable with PUA culture and their darker take on the redpill, so I don't take everything on board. As I was saying to Camille11325 I was seeking clarification. I'm open minded and if people want to run a space where they accept everything any RP man says as law, that's fine by me, I just don't want to i…

Thank you for the write up, I can't see this in my country so I would never have seen it otherwise. This is where we get caught up in the ugliness that people think submission means. It doesn’t mean doormat. This attitude really annoys me. When I'm being submissive to my husband, guess what, MY life is better. Not just his. It isn't about being a doormat or just doing it because it is best for him. It's best for all of us.

Thank you for replying. What I'm struggling with is on the basis of the comments as they stand (and I didn't see the bit where it degenerated because that was deleted before I got back) I fail to see how they fall outside discussion. It didn't feel like a debate to me in the way that it's been outlined in the post 'Our position on debates vs discussion', I thought we were just discussing it. I'd love to see where the author gets his evidence for this from, because it reads like a lot of assertions without any solid examples. I think the description of the FSM he gave is what it's like in an all female group when it's populated with destructive people. I've been part of a group that was like this. However I've also been part of an all women group that was nothing like it at all. It was one of the best working environments I've ever been in and was completely supportive and wonderful.…

I go against the accepted wisdom on this subject and I personally think that for some skins less is more. I'm about your age and I have terrible skin. For ages I tried covering it up with maximum coverage foundations but in my case it just makes it look worse as product tends to gather in pock marks and fine lines. Now I wear a tinted moisturiser and it looks much better, like a better version of myself. So I wouldn't write off CC creams or tinted moisturisers just yet.

I actually think the film is fairly balanced on a whole, however I think the scene you highlighted is a fantastic example of the closed mindedness of certain feminists to women who choose to be SAHM. I do think it's horribly sad that we are pilloried by many for wanting to support our husbands. When my husband is happy and successful, I'm happy and successful, what is so wrong with that? What 'BeautifulSpaceCadet' said further down rings very true for me. I have passions and interests but they a…

I think a big part of being in a Red Pill style marriage is accepting the bits that work for you and your husband and not trying form your marriage into some cookie cutter RP marriage. Like other posters have said, some men are a bit more laid back then others. It's interesting to me that you say your husband is a strong leader at work. I do wonder if …

I've been watching your posts and the replies here with interest. After some reflection I still think that as a field report this counts as a 'win'. We sometimes find ourselves in tricky situations, places were we've gone back on our resolutions to be better people. It's so easy in those situations to press the destruction button and make a situation worse with a massive row, but you managed not to do that. What's even worse is that those commentators would probably be the first people to tear her husband apart if he didn't do nice things for her or think about her needs, but she's is pilloried for thinking about him.

I wish I had the answers to this. We have a son and I do worry about how the negative portrayal of men in society will effect him. I'm no expert and I have a strong bitch default setting so take my advice with a pinch of salt. One thing I did and really encouraged to happen was my husband being a hands on, very involved father. This might not sound like it's connected but there are some women who operate as the lead parent and push their partner out, making it seem that he is useless and that on…

He doesn't really have any success outside his work. Well, I think he's a wonderful father which is outside of work but he has doubts about that too. He doesn't really have any hobbies that have an achievement aspect for want of a better word, I don't really know what to do about that or if there is even anything I can do. He does have low self esteem about his appearance but those are around issues that can't be changed.

I think it's mostly the first one you speak of, but also a little bit of the second one in a way. When I compliment him he believes it. It's more that he seems to be blind to his own achievements. He views himself as a failure when he isn't.

Hi, I'm Blushing Lilly. I've been married for 5 years now to a lovely man and we have one child. My best piece of marriage advice would be that 90% of the marriage advice you get out there these days is total nonsense and won't make you happy because it demonises men, so choose carefully.
