And I liked the part about men being more attached. From having seen a few messy separations on either side, it's generally one spouse that initiates the divorce. In that case, they likely have thought over and reconciled it over a long period of time, so it appears like they "got over" it much faster than the other spouse. This generally catches the other spouse by surprise or they might have pushed away/suppressed ideas that separation is likely so it's going to take them a while to reconcile/…
