I am an artist and I understand your frustration with feeling like a “fake.” I would try to just reframe your thinking as “selectively honest.” Most of the time your opinion is not going to change theirs - so it is not worth putting it out there. 1	Just got into contact with my dad- i have daddy issues. I read in a comment that you aren’t in a position to get a therapist due to the country you live in. I would recommend a book on dialectical behavioral therapy. It may help you process emotions and attachment issues.
