No, just get a girlfriend. And get some viagra or similar as well. Ask your doc - they're well aware of the problem.

I like the essence of your post. Good heart and intentions. I short remark on this: Don't drag this community into the depths of misogynistic sleazy shame it's currently headed for. It's already quite tainted by nature. It's called seduction and it's never really about seduction as it is self-improvement. But who goes to /r/selfimprovement when they have trouble getting laid? And that's how people find this community... To get laid. So you get all these new people, learning some tricks and taint…

No. She does not expect to get into Harvard and that's the issue. She wants to get into Harvard because she wants to work for a specific company that only hires people who went to Harvard. That's why he gives her a pep-talk. He expects her to get into Harvard, he just need to teach her a few things first. It's also fiction.

You have no room for improvement? I made this just for you actually. The point is that there is always room for improvement and working towards that is more rewarding than letting everything go. But you need to acknowledge that you can never reach the 100 percent or you'll end up disappointed. It is also important to know that you are doing this for yourself and not anyone else.

The problem with doing it all the time is that it looses it's purpose. And I men for myself. If I wear a suit for gaming on a lousy Tuesday, what will I do when I really want to celebrate something important stuff?

Yes, that is possible as well, but we do not know what he wanted now do we? And I still feel that is not the point either. The point is how to put someone in the friend zone.

The point is not what he wanted. The point is that this is the perfect example of someone being placed in the friend zone regardless if he wanted that or not. This is the way to the friend zone. Edit: Spelling

You sound like you're of the mind that believes marriages is a 'tool of the patriarchy used to oppressed women' or any other modern new age tripe (like nihilism). You're probably a swell guy and I bet your friends would stand up for you any day, but this here tells me you might need to read a few books before you start spewing out nonsense. It is clear that you don't really know what you are talking about. I don't think marriage is a good idea from a very logical point of view. As stated earlier…

I see, so now you've grown up and you're what they call a real man. Or bro. It's a funny website - I agree. I also find it funny that you do not understand what I am grasping at here. It's not nihilism (which is an interesting topic in itself, but not what we should discuss here now). It's critical thinking. I too want a life long companion, but the marriage part I don't get. Unless you're religious. But I don't get religion either. But I guess that is also what people do. Good luck with that br…

I think what both men and women like is confidence. Smiling and not being afraid of eye contact shows that. We then proceed to think "this girl has confidence" which leads to our brain telling us "I should go talk to this girl because I'm a confident guy and chicks like that shit".

I don't see why it would be wrong to use something that is unique about a person to it's advantage. If you're tall, work with it. Short? Use that! The statement that you want to disregard or ignore something unique about someone seems like a stupid idea and I don't understand why you want it so.

Schizoid personality disorder (SPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness and sometimes (sexual) apathy, with a simultaneous rich, elaborate and exclusively internal fantasy world. A lot of what you are saying is very true. But.. Disregard looks. I feel this applies to anything. A person, who you like, you do not value her over someone who you do not like? Why spend time on gaming when everyone is equal and it does not matter anyway? I think there's a zen-point here that I can't seem to grasp. I know this is getting to a point of talking about definitions I guess, but I don't really understand how to juggle between treating everyone as equals and also finding what is benef…

That is the point for sure. But let's say you like your potential SO to be physically attractive. Then you meet these two girls where one physically attractive, the other not. Isn't the physically attractive girl more of value than the other, to you personally, in your quest for finding a potential SO?

Equal, as in the same. When you say you can appreciate someone more than someone else, how is that not putting a value on someone, where time and effort is the currency? I see what you're trying to say in it all though. By seeing everyone as equals is absolutely a step in the right direction to be a good person. I have a mismatch here.
/r/seduction08/06/11 12:01 AM

Ha ha. That's pretty good. Feels good to be set straight sometimes. I do think I need to reflect some more on this. Desire without attachment is a book? I'll check it out. Thanks for your input RaptorButts!

/r/seduction07/06/11 11:01 PM

These traits and qualities we admire - don't them make you apreciate some girls over others? To me, when you say everyone is of equal value, translates to everyone is equal. I am pretty sure you disagree with that, so can you clarify?

I picked it up when I was backpacking in Thailand. I liked the book, but a bible? No, I don't really see it as a bible. It made the game known to a lot more people and it kinda connects people I guess. Why are you asking?
/r/seduction07/06/11 09:21 PM

Thanks for your thoughts! It's been a pleasant discussion and I think I concluded a bit. In my head, to make it so that the girl is not the prize I took her down to my level. I removed the concept of anything but one pedestal, which I then took for my self. It's a unhealthy look at it all. Instead, this is how it should be: I leave the girl on their pedestals as they are, but I make my own which is taller than anyone else's. This way some girls are better than others and it becomes more interest…
/r/seduction07/06/11 08:19 PM

I think that's it. It's basically just a tool to get results. I'm not changing what I look for in a girl. So even if this girl does not turn out to have what I look for, there are plenty others that do. Visually for me it translates to: She's on a pedestal, I'm on a pedestal and there are millions of girls on pedestals. And many more who are not on pedestals who I should just ignore more or less. Thanks :)
/r/seduction07/06/11 08:13 PM

But you're saying it's not a good one by adding that "no". Just saying.
/r/seduction07/06/11 07:35 PM
1

yes, there can be nice things, but you won't care as much about them. Compare it to a car. If you do not have a car, it's great to have any car. But if money is not an issue you would probably want a Ferrari or something. What we are doing is rationalizing it by saying it's just a car. But it does not change the fact that a car is quite a nice thing. So the point I am trying to make is that having something you're neurotic about feels good. Having something that is nice still feels good, but les…

I love how an intj saw this immediately. But yes, that is the issue. And relationships with that as a starting point is not possible to do. What I want is to be with a girl where I want her as much as the most needy person in the world need his target. But without being needy.
/r/seduction07/06/11 05:59 PM
1

Fair enough about the attitude. And as I said to Frogma, saying life is dull because of issues like this is too strong. But how does being in a crappy relationship have anything to do with this? As I said... by removing a lot of what you find intimidating about a woman I think it also can make them less interesting. So one of the core rules of approach can then be to make the girls less interesting. So there is a paradox: Want interesting girls in life. Find interesting girl, but scared to appro…
/r/seduction07/06/11 05:53 PM
1

Good point. And I think there is something in what you wrote about want and need. I guess this is residues from me being the needy me. When you need someone it becomes rather important for you to have that someone in your life. And when that works out it feels freakishly intensely great (this never works out btw) as it can resemble a life and death situation, as it is actually a need and not a want. So with want, it's less important, but it can still be great. Less extreme I guess.
/r/seduction07/06/11 05:44 PM

/r/seduction07/06/11 05:18 PM

You're one step behind what I'm debating here. It's not whether or not it works getting girls by shifting from wanting the prize to being the prize. It clearly works. The discussion is that by seeing them as equals, as they are, they become become less intimidating - and less interesting. They are no longer the princess. So there is a problem. Setting them on pedestals makes them unavailable. Seeing them as equals make them boring. Wat do?
/r/seduction07/06/11 05:15 PM

Yes, but why would you want anything to do with someone who barely qualified?

That is a good point.
/r/seduction07/06/11 04:41 PM

Maybe my wording was insufficient here, but I never meant to say it was a competition and what others think of her is part of the equation. You said it fine when you said you want a girl with the kind of qualities that make you want to share your life with her. That is a prize. If you meet a girl like that you'll think something like I better not fuck this up, because she's great. That is pedestalling in my book. If you do not worry about not fucking things up, then she's not special. She's just…
/r/seduction07/06/11 03:36 PM

The thing is, if you don not put her on a pedestal it becomes "just some girl". I remember in the Blueprint, Tyler draws up the pedestal things and he is right when he says something like there is no pedestal. But then I ask, what makes a girl special? And yes, my first two years in high school I definitely had a case of the oneitis. But it's years ago now and the point is not regarding oneitis'es. The point is the feeling you have towards a oneitis. We can never feel about a partner the way we …

It's related - I agree, but saying they are synonyms is taking it too far. You can be humble, dominant or both. Betas are often humble, but not very dominant. A school bully is often dominant, but not very humble. Cool dudes, like we all aspire to be are dominant and humble. Having experience and confidence is the balance needed for being humble, yet dominating.
