Fair enough. It's a hell of a complicated situation, decade long roller coaster, so it's easy to convince myself that certain fundamental rules don't apply. But my experience tells me they always do, so I should probably know better. Appreciate the advice. Not what I wanted to hear, but if I wanted to hear what I want to hear, I'd ask my mom.

I'm pretty sure she does. That's what I've been doing most of the time, but it seems to be an endless loop. I tease, she laughs, then goes quiet again. Basically my thought was a one liner along the lines of "let me know if and when you want to register an actual complaint" when she gives me the silent treatment. No more no less. Then apologize (rare), refuse to apologize (actually fucking works about half the time), or just give her the BS attention she is trying to get out of me by going silen…

Actually it was pretty much the exact opposite, I was the one riding the CC (cunt carousel) if anything and I told her as much when I came back. Bad wording in previous post, I came back, but she brought up the suggestion that we work it out.

Well, passive aggressive could probably describe it. I actually have ghosted her, 3 years later she's back wanting to work it out, very persistent, yet exhibiting similar behaviors. This is what gets me. Thanks for the advice, figured this would be the suggestion.
