If you are applying the same specialty as me, drop out and move to prioritize dating. If you’re not, just put school first, try to capitalize on in school connections for now. Don’t worry, 2nd year will start with mildly more time than first year

I think your tangent is a bit hard. On one hand, they should acknowledge that it’s unfair, but simultaneously, I don’t want to hear advice that amounts to “you can’t do anything to fix your problem”. If I get advice it should be actionable for me, the listener/reader

The issue you run into is many feminists are also anti draft in general and won’t budge on expanding the draft as that is seen as a loss. Honestly, it’s a fair take. My opinion is that by expanding the draft you now make it absolute political suicide to suggest enacting the draft thereby preventing its use.

So the LLM is just regurgitating what the judge said and is likely not a reflection of much more. That tracks for the current models ngl

Idk why there are down votes. The court has forced child support in some cases even when both parties don’t want it. The mother could probobly ignore the court order but that would put everyone in jeopardy. Child support is a mess in many places

While the saying is wrong, I will say I won’t get rid of the children part. We should be taking care of those who can’t take care of themselves, namely the children and the elderly

I’m going to disagree. While it is the worse option I think we should make a move for removing sex based discrimination in the draft first for a few reasons: It will more likely increase the political drive to remove the draft It becomes political suicide for a politician to implement the draft thereby effectively ending the draft We shouldn’t let perfection become the enemy of good enough. Ie by jumping to the end we risk losing any positive gains at all

Good luck getting that to pass. It’s the ideal, but I don’t see it happening

Why are you asking in this sub? This would be best answered by talking to a doctor, medical sub or even a google search to see what NHS, CDC, or WHO guidelines are
/r/seduction29/04/25 11:42 PM

Look, you can’t say you’re championing men if you’re going to ignore arguably the largest portion of men. You’re committing the same error you are accusing feminism of and it’s weakling your argument that should be strong. I’m saying you’re only half way there

Where does the working class fall here? We are ignoring a ton of people. I think ignoring those people weakens this argument. I will say though, I think we often ignore class because it’s a challenging one to change as the top has the power and the means to gain more power

I want a partner that is as close to 50/50 as we can get. There will be some differences, but overall I want to 50/50 and I would like them to have a career, I don’t care about the money but I do want them to be fulfilled

Why are you married to someone this incompatible? You guys have a massive communication issue. Go for a Hail Mary and if nothing changes then make a decision if this is the relationship you want to model for your kids

Eh that’s mediocre data without discussion of qualitative differences. Your example may be accurate, but it also could be blown out of proportion. If we use bad data then we should use bad data for everything and the wage gap becomes legitimate once again.

It doesn’t even need to go that far, if you don’t think you can take care of yourself properly don’t go in and make two victims. It would lower the probability of successfully rescuing the first and now second victim

Pray tell what action I can take against these authors here stronger than a disavowal? It’s not like there is a widespread feminist card that could be revolked. To not be a hypocrite I’ll admit my actions for any movement (that includes feminism, advocating for men’s issues, actions regarding whatever the current crisis is) are limited. I simply cut problematic people out of my life. I simply have other things to worry about so I distance myself from them, as to not waste too much time on them
/r/MensRights20/08/24 12:33 PM

That’s fair, but I can’t conceive another argument to take other than disavowing them. The people in the screenshots and I have beliefs that are mutually exclusive, so either I or them are wrong about feminism
/r/MensRights20/08/24 12:23 PM

Yeah, they can call themselves feminists but I don’t count them as part of my movement (feminism). Feminism is a political movement and by definition can’t be restricted to one gender

In theory, sure, but it’s going to take some complicated legislation to make that possible. The state has an interest to prevent this so I would gander that legislation to do this would be dead in the water for at least a few decades (speaking of USA)

Without knowing anything about the situation, forcing your daughter to see you may not be the right move as it has the risk of breeding resentment. It is ideal for children to want to have relationships with their parents, but you have little control over that. Not to mention that at 16 the court should take her opinion into any custody agreement changes (Assuming you are in the USA). Not to mention I am doubtful that there is anything making it illegal for her to block you (I believe that the l…

There are two problems: She is saying these sort of things as a result of what is going on in her mind and likely should be speaking treatment You have the problem of needing to protect yourself. This is best solved by talking to an attorney and a therapist. You need to get proper advice to handle both the legal and psychological aspects While Reddit may provide decent advice, this is above its pay grade and there is a possibility that you get dogshit advice. While it won’t fix anything with those posting negative content you can manage how much you see. Stop rewarding the algorithm for giving you crap like that. The algorithm trends towards giving me positive content about men (when it gives me any) because I reward that over the negative. It will likely help you to limit how much negative content you consume

Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good enough. Expanding the draft to include everyone (aside from those who would be medically disqualified) would make it political suicide to suggest implementing the draft. Continuation of the draft is horrid, but expanding it imo would make it so it can’t be implemented, therefore the result is similar

Have you looked through the military subreddits? It’s complaints about housing, food and support programs. Not wokeness. People aren’t recommending the military right now because the military has been cutting programs to help soldiers and their families succeed.

Not necessarily, there needs to be proof of medical necessity which doesn’t seem to be fulfilled yet (according to the insurance). Now, with some planning with his healthcare team it can go from a cosmetic surgery to a medically necessary surgery (in the eyes of the insurance) This is a residual effect of the American healthcare system. It’s a bloody mess

Part of it is damages. No attorney is going to take a case over $20. Now, a few grand every month for a few years? That starts to sound like a case worth something

I’m going to be honest, I’m less worried about the male loneliness epidemic and social activist groups taking advantage of it. Rather, I’m worried about the apparent historical trend of disenfranchised young men being correlated with conflict. Assuming that the indirect cause of the conflict is the disenfranchised young men, then the loneliness epidemic will likely lead to conflict with potentially millions dead

Part of the issue is the algorithm I personally never see content like this (not denying that it happens, or anything like that). Curating yo ur algorithm is an important skill to avoiding toxic areas of the internet. This is a significant issue, but don’t let it control you. Improve what parts you can, the rest, well you can’t control. Again, this is a significant issue, but don’t let yourself get overwhelmed

Honestly I can’t give you a reason beyond it is cultural at this point. Originally beards were in, then in the 50s and 60s they were out (likely to avoid being considered more of a fringe group) and they have stayed out ever since.

White it would be good to get rid of it, it is doubtful for it to be politically feasible. Adding women to the draft would make it into virtual political suicide to suggest activating it, therefore making it essentially removed

In fairness, this doesn’t prove what the cause was. It could be due to what it took to become a ruler as a woman, when compared to men. Or it could be to an increased degree of violence exhibited by workmen. Without further analysis, which may or may not be feasible, we simply don’t know what this study actually indicates. We should avoid jumping to conclusions, because that just damages our own credibility.

The furthest I ever go is “just because one group is oppressed doesn’t mean they can’t be oppressors as well”. It doesn’t tend that way, but there are enough cases where it’s at least somewhat true

I sincerely don’t believe that getting rid of the draft would pass congress. Expanding the draft to incident all able bodied Americans within a specific age bracket would make it even bigger political suicide to initiate, allowing for it to be quasi eliminated

I’m glad that I’m proved wrong. Thank you for providing a source. Now it does muddy the water as there are (very few) studies (this study is slightly different and therefore encourages slightly different conclusions) which agree with my initial point. I am viewing these studies with more salt than before though. I sincerely would like to see zero correlation between gender and divorce rates, but I would like to stick to data and it’s bloody annoying to find any data that is pertinent to the subj…

The thing is that most feminists that I have spoken to are also pacifists. They want to simply ban the draft. We all know that getting rid of the draft is unlikely in this political climate. It’s a case of letting perfection be the bent of good enough. Mh proposal is make everyone eligible for the draft so it is political suicide to push for the use of it which would essentially ban the draft as well.

This sub is very polar, and I can understand why people are that way. If we want real equality we have to understand that every demographic has issues and challenges that we can work on. This is not a zero sum game, we all can win

Op, this statistic is wrong, especially with larger diseases. Something small is more likely to be misdiagnosed as there is far less testing necessary. here is a study with the 5.08% diagnostic error rate
/r/MensRights31/05/22 04:43 PM
-5

I don’t know why this is getting downvoted. It’s a statistical fact. It also is true that woman are more likely to imitate divorce in general. Both can be true and both cause problems. We need to work on both issues, especially our own. I say especially, because those are the situations which we have more control of and therefore more responsibility.

I would also like to note that depending on the brain injury there is a possibility of “short” term personality change (potentially even violent) that will rectify itself. Brain injuries are no joke and the consequences vary wildly. Do what you can to avoid them

Depending on the back pain, I could potentially agree. I would avoid making a blanket statement about it being worse than pregnancy due to the fact that pregnancy has a number of issues that come with it, including back pain. Evaluating it based on the situation would be my preferred method for comparing the two. Regardless calling someone a white night for recommending reasonable treatment isn’t a good argument

Your situation does not make it wrong for someone who is healthy giving up their seat. Not to mention if someone has a worse medical condition (you would have to be the judge of that) then I would say it is ethical to give it to them

I am a male and while I was living in the Philippines, I was regularly cat called. For the first few weeks it was amazing, I never had received that attention. At a certain point it changes to being insulting. I believe that it is an issue of frequency.
