Being half Japanese is better than being either American or Japanese. Best of both worlds.

Are you white? This boosts your SMV a lot in Latin America.

You're misunderstanding my post. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clarify. Yes, women and men both suffer. One gender's suffering is not greater than another. Yes, to become enlightened one must wander through cruelties. It does not matter if one is a man or a woman. Men and women have equal capacity to attain enlightenment. My point is that becoming enlightened is not the same as being a buddha, specifically the Samyaksambuddha. The sutras say that the Samyaksambuddha must be a man. The …

You have freedom of expression on Reddit. But you can't always control how people respond. I'm sorry you didn't like that I used the word "interesting". Human behavior is always interesting in my eyes, even when it's something I do not support. I'm sorry for how you were treated. It was not kind.

Yeah, well, you're not wrong. I saw your post there and what you say is in the sutras. And it's interesting how many people in there were so triggered. But there are some traditions where a female buddha is not an outlandish idea. In Tibet, tara is considered to be a full buddha. So it's not a black and white issue. Buddhism is a vast entity. Anyways, I want to say this because it's important and I think it is important for you to hear. The more important question is not whether or not women can…

Hey, don't get too down on yourself. No reason to get angry. You were nice to someone. They appreciated it. That's awesome. We should all treat each other so well. Maybe she didn't see your relationship as anything more than a support for her. That's ok. You are young and she is too. She is probably pretty and probably still hasn't realized that the reason people are nice to her is because they are smitten. To her, you're just one more in the line of nice people. But don't be angry. In four year…

Speaking as a male school teacher - As a male teacher you figure this shit out. You have so many little kids in your class looking up at you, you start to operate from the basis of being the adult. You hold the kids hands through all their assignments. But when you have hours of grading hanging over your own head, you don't look for sympathy. You just do it because that's your job. You do your job and you have a happy classroom. My male teacher friends - they don't drive the nicest cars, or wear…

Confessions of love are for chumps. The first guy doesn't "give them what they want". The first guys allows them to bask in their glow. Some of my friends with wives and families...they never had a wedding ceremony or gave their wife a ring. They just built something together.

Ayn Rand had one thing right in her books. Mate preference of women is as follows: First choice: Goldenhearted alpha champion badass Second choice: Despicable dark triad asshole Third choice: Supplicating beta chump. The dark triad guys here simply don't realize that there is something beyond tingles. The first choice guy is always ready to discard the girl because has a mission in life that is beyond the scope of any stupid sexual entanglement. He's on another level. This is the guy girls want.…

You should know that the "Single Payer" part of Obamacare was the first part of the act that got nixed in congress. Health Insurance Lobbies would have nothing to do with it. A single payer policy would streamline costs by eliminating the need for your job as well as a lot of actuarial work. The idea is that the reduced cost of insurance is then passed on to the consumer. A terrific idea, but it would suck for you.

Just sitting there, listening to this asshole play "Stairway to Heaven" just like the last 100 douchebags that have to play "Stairway to Heaven" on every damn guitar in the department. Do you live in Wayne's World? nice post

You're 30. You think that's old AF? Get over yourself. You're in your prime. You can do anything. You're stressed as fuck. That's understandable. Hang in there. Soon you'll figure out this pizza thing and you'll be a sex god for it. A doctor who can make an artisanal pizza? That will make the panties drop even if you're 60. Here's a tip though. You're italian so you probably enjoy your wine and beer and smoke . Cut out the alcohol if you can. Also cut out marijuana and cigarettes. You'll be happ…

What I'm seeing in this commercial is a guy who passive-aggressively asks her for soup as she's on her way out the door and she gives a snide and snippy response. Assholes all around. This is the world as seen through the lens of feminist anger. The male character in this video is the negative personification of how jaded women see men in general. Life is a battlefield for some people. Let's think of how this scenario might unfold in a commercial that is less "edgy" Woman: Hey honey, how're you …

Ok, check all the oils - sure. Change a tire - sure. I can't be bothered to change my own fluids though - besides those requiring me to just pour a bottle into the right hole.

Ha yeah, well, yes and no. The key is just not to share your actual opinion about anything. You learn how to nod and agree. You still have to know how to maintain frame and all that. You definitely can't go all dark triad though.

As a public school teacher, i get to see a good cross section of the population. Of course the girls I teach are too young for me to ever date, but its easy to recognize that there are those who are simply great people. There are also those who are great people for the right man. When it comes to dating, it is largely about compatability. We all have weak points that we need another to balance out. There are about as many 10 girls out there as there are 10 guys. The problem is that perception is…

I thought monk mode just referred to maintaining celibacy. Focus on your goals and development. Enjoy work and play. But don't get involved with any women.

You're right that there is a spectrum. But you need to pay a lot for the good stuff, making it inaccessible for many. Even then, a lot of the produce has been shipped cross country. The wine all has preservatives. The meat has been treated with ammonia (I think I read that somewhere). Cheeses are dead. I would rather get my food from a basic grocery store in France, Mexico or Peru than go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes in the states. Many countries subsidize their food suppliers. The US subsidies…
