That can work, but if you get long winded and tell very verbose stories it can be very intimidating for her if she doesn't know you, or hasn't developed any rapport with you. You may feel comfortable enough with her to tell your stories, and she may get that from you telling the story, but that doesn't necessarily mean she has the same comfort level you do.
