Not specifically with regards to you OP. Life is short. You know what you want and you have to go get it. Generally though this is something I have been thinking about I think one thing most men understand is that a stay at one wife, if you can afford one, is the best way to have your needs met. You can raise children, have a nice house, someone cooking you healthy food etc. You do have to provide financially though. Women usually want a man who makes as much or more money than them. I think the…

Take it from an older woman. You are so lucky you are not financially dependent on this man. Think very carefully if you are happy being in a marriage where you are undermined by your husband and his friends. Men can change after marriage. You become ‘the wife’ and there is a lot of baggage that comes with that title. Most of it a burden.

I noticed that. I thought giving them the benefit of the doubt perhaps they are planning to send for the women once they are set up? When Europe was experiencing its refugee crisis I remember thinking they would solve a lot of the social integration problems if they granted refugee status to women and families only - not so many single men.

I agree with that

Women can abuse men. My aunt broke my uncles ribs. Out of nowhere when he was lying in a bed. A few nights after his mother died. She was a terrible woman. I know that’s only his side of the story. Believe me I’m not here to defend men. I know men’s abuse is more likely to be deadly. It is a reality though that if we, as women, are feeling rage and a desire to hurt others. We mustn’t dismiss it. We must get help.

That’s terrible. I am sorry you had to go through that.

My sis-in-law was talking about a friend of hers who is dating a man. She was saying how weird it is that this friend has been dating this man for three months but has not introduced him to her child yet. I said I didn’t think that was weird. I thought that was good parenting. I made my husband promise that if something happens to me he won’t introduce a woman to my children until he has been dating for at least 12 months.

Don’t internalize the misogyny, my friend. To be a woman is a wonderful thing. You are capable of love, strength, joy. Creating and sustaining life itself. My sister, fight these feelings. Stay positive and grounded within yourself. Remember your value.

My mother told me to never, ever, pay rent to sleep in a man’s bed and I never have. I was downvoted to shit for saying that on Reddit. Women are encouraged to just be a natural resource for some scrote to burn through. Don’t fool for it. Story time. About 20 years ago (at the age of 24) I moved in with the man I went on to marry. (Still happily married today). He mentioned in passing that I could pay half the rent. I laughed in his face and said absolutely not. He dropped it straight away but w…

Boom! On the nose. Agree with every word. For any women reading here for the first time. I am a married woman in my 40’s. I have a good husband who works hard and looks after our children. FDS works.

My mum is mostly just a very traditional woman. Raised as a Southern Baptist in the 1950/60’s. FDS views used to be mainstream. She encouraged me to work as well. She said women have always worked outside the home. Just it was almost impossible to do so and raise a family. Which is true. The amount of work most women are expected to do these days is impossible. ETA. By FDS was mainstream I mostly mean the idea that women shouldn’t sleep around (my mum made clear that even if I didn’t believe it …

So glad that you are seeing the light. I am an old married woman with children now but I have watched so many of my female friends waste their 20’s and 30’s on LV men who just string them along. The funny thing is once you start ignoring the shitty men, you get your pick of the good ones. Good men know what most men are like. They respect a woman who doesn’t pander to their bs. ETA. I was lucky because I was raised by my mother to have an FDS mindset. It works 100%.

I made a list when I was young. If my to-be husband had deviated from that list in anyway I would not have dated, let alone married him. I was also told my list was unrealistic. He had to be a non-smoking vegetarian. Be hard working with prospects, not necessarily rich but realistically ambitious. Be tall with dark beautiful hair. Be kind, loving, good in bed etc. The thing is there are so many men, it pays to be picky. For me it wasn’t just choosing a husband it was choosing the father of my ch…

There was a spate of that sort of thing on AITA about a year ago. The MRA’s were posting stories with the typical genders swallows. It was mostly pretty obvious and people started to call them out.

I think in the right circumstances this could still be considered vetting. If he likes you enough he will go after you. Then you can get to know him very slowly over text or email or whatever platform. Low stakes for you while making sure he’s worth the work. 99.9% of men wouldn’t bother so the .1% who will might really be a keeper.

Good for you, sis. The funny thing you are going to find is not being interested in men means you will get so much attention from them. I strongly recommend taking up a martial art. Any exercise is good but martial arts in particular help with feeling stronger around scrotes. Self esteem and accomplishment too.

I did that with my husband. Would pretend I was going to change my hair color or something like that to see what he would say. Checking to see if he was HVM enough before we married.

In the podcast you say that you consider bdsm self harm. That is absolutely true. I was abused as a child and have spent a long time dealing with the emotional fall out. I know from my own experience that bdsm is basically asking someone else to do your self harming for you.

My mother is schizophrenic. I would never date anyone with those issues. I always wanted a family so for me, it’s not worth wasting time on a man who can’t be a good father. This makes me think the writer of the Vice article is lucky she has never had to deal with a person with a serious mental illness. Frustrating she would judge people who have and understand the reality of it though.

I think the love aspect of marriage is a bit overplayed tbh. What you have is good if it works.

The hubby was reading to the children in bed and I was sitting on the couch, alone on my phone. An article I was reading was being discussed by a few communities and this was one of them. ‘Female dating strategy’ sounded interesting so I came to check it out. I expected it to be the usual shit about how you should pander to men and give them whatever they want - but it wasn’t. When I read the wiki I couldn’t believe it. I have never spoken to anyone (except my mother) who sees dating men the way…
