Nothing to apologize for, just wanted to add my two pennies! I never really "got" the whole concept that morality/truth is personal so its interesting to talk with someone who does.

I have a pretty similar view on sex that banob does (that it is a part of a relationship not casual). And it really has nothing to do with being important... but people hold themselves and others to standards. Obviously I think that mine are a better way to go (for the most part) or I wouldn't hold them myself. So why wouldn't I feel the same way about others?

You know I noticed that as well, especially when it just discounted half of all men because they don't have an advanced degree.

From the abstract: Our results suggest that community notification deters first-time sex offenders, but may increase recidivism by registered offenders... Haven't had time to read through the whole thing (work) but it seems like an interesting study.

Couold you explain mgtow to me? I asked before and someone said it was Men going their own way, but I never got more than that. I'm assuming it means being single / celibate?

This is pretty much spot on. Especially since it sounds like OP is pretty young and it will turn into student's word Vs. adult in charge's word. (Just another reason I have you RES tagged as "Good Idea Man"

wow you're an ass. How about instead of giving us all a bad name you calm down and follow your own advice: share experiences

I don't think that people really wear clothes with that in mind For Example: Almost all pants have a tendency to show a huge bulge of my penis. Its nothing I do intentionally it just happens, and yea I don't want people staring at my penis all day. Something we can agree on is to blame, the discrepency you and I have is on the grounds that people who wear clothes want others to notice (penis or boobs).

I don't think this is really the same though. This situation is just completely ridiculous.

Well a feminist would tell you that all interactions between men and women are just examples of the patriarchy and anything that happens (esp anything the man does) is a direct result of female oppression.

What is a "slutwalk"? I keep seeing things about that but no one ever explaining them... I would google it but a bit nervous to have that in my work's history!

While that is probably true, variants of this sort of thing are real. I can think of two girls I knew in college (a now ex-s best friend and a dorm mate) who fall into the "manipulate bf until i have all control and then sleep around" schtick

True it is, but the interview even says that she and her husband are not into the Dom/Sub thing When asked about using their system (whatever that means) of D/s I don't think he'd be into this sort of stuff as I said he's not exactly submissive... So it sounds like its an interview with a woman who has simply taken control over the relationship.

So you wanted to have a discussion but got upset when I calmly disagree with you? Isn't disagreement the heart of any worthwhile discussion? Also I don't understand the fascination people have with the "hive mind" concept. For one thing, groupthink would be a better term to use, but instead people insist on following the collective vis a vis"hive mind" (kind of ironic, huh?) That is beside the point however, why would you expect to go into any subreddit - a forum created specifically around a pa…

I think the point is that (at least in the US where I am from) we see vigilante justice as something that is wrong...according to the law anyway. Maybe you don't agree with that. Or maybe you do but you think that there should be worse punishments for rapists. I don't know. Rape is an awful crime. However, it is the responsibility of a conscionable society to not condone such acts of violence, whether justified or not. TLDR - To what standards, as a society, do we chose to hold ourselves?

Come on now personal info is uncalled for. I understand that we are all very upset about this... but we don't want to be just like people who jump to conclusions when a man is accused of rape do we? We don't know the whole story so just chill.

FALSE!! You should still go to the cops and get a report filed... they might not be able to do much (or care for that matter) but it is the same thinking like this that prevents realistic change. If not the people in power will back and think that since no one is reporting these kinds of things they must not be a big deal.
/r/MensRights23/07/12 10:17 PM

This is the key point. While I do agree with anachronic, that the police will basically tell you to go pound sand and quit fiddle farting around when they have better things to do. However, you can still get a police report filed so that if anything does come from this you already have a history of it.

MGTOW? Google search shows this as possibly "Men Going Their Own way" Can you tell me more about it?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
