Being hookup material means you have more opportunities to get a relationship after the sexual encounter. That is how most relationships form. You cannot persuade or negotiate with her to find you attractive. She either does or doesn't from the moment she meets you. Relationships form around sex. You can't form sex from a relationship. That's just being friends.

all they want is someone who shows affection and cares about him And how is that standard too low? The fucked up thing is that should be a good standard for anyone. Even more fucked up is that this standard you think is too low isn't even being met by women.

What percentage of women are with a man in a different age group and what percentage of men are single?

So because women prefer older men, it means men are pickier than women?

You should have clarified that very specific definition of "more", what you said only makes sense with that caveat and even then it's disingenuous to not speak about all age groups. Kind of pointless really since we're talking about the aggregate of men and women as a whole. More importantly, men absolutely date older just the same way as they date taller. But again women won't date younger.

So because most women are in relationships with men much older than they are, it means less men are in relationships than women? I don't follow the logic.

How the hell are more women in relationships with men? Unless you mean lesbians are in couples more than gays, which is a different subject.

You don't see it in real life because this happens in DMs, behind closed doors and not in public view. People having causal sex are often operating in the same way people having affairs do, having casual sex because of the shame and embarrassment they would experience if these secret rendezvousing became public. You think a guy banging a model would want to keep it quiet?

I firmly believe I would have seen that exact thing happen given how "shy" girls talked about a guy they hadn't met yet but wanted to

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
